,PERSONNEL ]BOARD MEETING <br /> MINUTES of JANUARY 24, 19.8 <br /> The following members of the Personnel Board were present for tonight's meeting <br /> at the Mashpee Town Hall: Caroline M. Gilligan, Curtis Woodbury,, David Hardy and <br /> Manuel Glickman, <br /> Acting Chairperson Woodbury convened the meeting promptly at 6:00 p.m. <br /> Request For Tem orae Hire - Highway Department <br /> The Personnel. Board reviewed a request from the StreetSuperintendent for temporary <br /> office Yelp at his office wring the period of February 7 through February 11 whale <br /> his secretary is on a. leave of absence. He has recommended that Nancy Cana.ta be <br /> given consideration. The Board approved the temporary hire of Nancy Canata at the <br /> rate of $3.90 per hour providing he had the Funds in the budget <br /> Request for Temporary Hire - Personnel De2artment <br /> The Board approved the temporary hire of sandy Jacobsen to work in the Personnel <br /> office For approximately eight hours in order that job descriptions be typed and <br /> brought up to cyte for the positions under the Pef s ohne l Administration Plan., The <br /> secretary assured -the Board that -there was enough money in the budget to cover this <br /> expenditure. <br /> Grievance of Charles Dottridge <br /> Charles Dottridge, Sheldon-Hamblin and Richard Martini ret with the Personnel Board <br /> regarding the grievance filed by Charles Dottridge in which he was reprimanded by <br /> Chief Priestly for not following standard operating procedures., <br /> Mr. Dottridge explained that there were no sta dard orders governing non-emergency <br /> situations of what is to b'e logued in the daily logue -for fueling of vehicles and <br /> that was what he was reprimanded for, <br /> Curtis Woodbury asked Mr. Dottridge 'who gave-him orders to fuel the vehicle <br /> Firefighter Dottridge replied that the shift commander cave him orders. He stated <br /> that the Chief's letter referred to-' the fact that there were numerous illustrations <br /> of loging department vehicles in, and out and that there .was not one shift that logued <br /> in and out as far as fuel* <br /> Curtis Woodbury asked what the standard order was regarding the use of vehicles for <br /> personal use? <br /> t <br /> Firefighter Dottridge replied that they were not to be used for personal use. <br /> Curtis then asked how long he was away from the station? <br /> Firefighter Dottridge replied that he was away Five to ten minutes. <br /> Curt-is attempted to clarify the time that Firefighter Dottridge was away from the <br /> station. <br /> Firefighter Dottrdige changed his statement to Fifteen to twenty minutes. <br /> Curtis asked if the mileage is logued when the rescue goes out <br /> Firefighter Dottridge replied "no",, <br />
