Personnel Board Minutes <br /> Meeting of November 23, 1985 Page <br /> Ben Lofchie motioned to reject the counter proposal submitted by Chief Hartin and the <br /> counter proposal submitted by the 'Lawn Accountant on the basis that both proposals were <br /> reviewed by the M.M.A. consultants and were rejected. Manny Glickman seconded. All in <br /> f ar.. <br /> Ben LRofchie motioned to placed the Police Chief at Grade 26, Step 3 as per the M.M.A. 's <br /> recommendations. Manny Glickman seconded. All in favor. <br /> Ben Lof hie moved to change Article 17 retro-active to the start oftthls fiscal year. <br /> Manny Glickman seconded. All in favor. <br /> Manny Glickman moved to accept the M.M.A. plan as amended. Caroline Gilligan seconded. <br /> All in favor. <br /> The Board agreed with the recommendations of the M.M.A. consultants that employee anniver- <br /> sary dates remain the same. <br /> Article 48, shellfish Constable <br /> The Beard reviewed a request from the Finance Committee asking if they received a job <br /> description for the shellfish Constable position and if it meets with their approval <br /> along with salary recommendations. <br /> The Board asked the secretary to advise the Finance Committee that the job description <br /> needed to be revised and that they could not give salary recommendations at this time. <br /> Article 30 -- Deputy Fire Chief <br /> The Board noted that Article 30 as submitted by the Fire Chief would place a Deputy Fixe <br /> Chief a grade over the Deputy Police Chief. The Board r~e dues ed Manny Glickman to amend <br /> this article on the floor to keep the position in line with the Deputy Police Chief. <br /> Meeting adjourned a :10 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Marilyn Farren, secretary <br /> Personnel Board <br /> Mf <br />
