Personnel Board Minutes Page 2 <br /> Meeting of August 23, 1985 <br /> Recommendation of Police Candidate <br /> The Board reviewed a memo dated August 22 from Chief Frye recommending Richard <br /> Hardy- to be hired to fill the position of full-time police officer g~ created by <br /> the termination of .- Aitchiso 's injury leave. The Board requested that their <br /> recommendations of Richard Harder be' seat to the Board of Selectmen along with <br /> the Police Chief's. <br /> The Board briefly discussed who they would recommend to fill the position created <br /> by the termination of B. Fleury. The Board tools a vote on whether to recommend <br /> Charles Day. Note was split 2-2; 1 absent. Written documentation from' the Police <br /> Chief as to why he would not recommend Charles Bay was requested at the time of <br /> the interviews; however, never received. <br /> Harbor Master Position <br /> A letter from the Board of Selectmen dated August 15, 1985 was reviewed by the <br /> Personnel Board relative to the misunderstanding in regards to the harbor master's <br /> position. <br /> Newspaper article of August 21 was also reviewed by the Board. <br /> B. Boyd <br /> The secretary advised the Board that nothing had been received in the way of a <br /> doctor's certificate on D. Boyd's physical condition. The Board voted not to re- <br /> lease any days from the sick bank' at at their meeting of August '1 . The Board voted <br /> to hold Mr. Boyd's salary until the doetor�' certificate is received. <br /> A. Mosley - Step Increase <br /> The Board reviewed the yearly performance evaluation, done by Jane LaBute for Amy <br /> Mosley's annual review. It was then unanimous"vote of the Board"to grant a one- <br /> step increase to Mrs. Mosley placing her at ars hourly rate of $6.25 (Grade 8, Step . <br /> Personnel Bd. Minutes Accepted <br /> Ben Lofehie roved to accept Personnel minutes of 7/8, 7/29, and 8/12. Caroline <br /> Gilligan seconded.. All in favor. <br /> Custodial Services -- Sr. Citi en's 'Bldg.. <br /> The Board reviewed a memo dated August 15 from the Bd. of Selectmen relative to the <br /> Senior Center - Custodial Services. They feel a greater effort on the part of the <br /> Sr. Citizen Birc or and BP.w Maintenance Dept. schedule a wort abl and productive <br /> maintenance program i needed. <br /> Educational Requests <br /> Ben Bofchie was .a"ssigned by the Chairman to review the educational requests for the <br /> current fiscal - year.
