MA HPEE TOWN HALL <br /> PER-SONNEL BOARD D MEETING <br /> MAY 17; 1985 <br /> The following members of the Board ret at a special Meeting held at 3 :30 p.m. on <br /> May, ,1 7: Chairman Robert Sullivan, Caroline M. Gilligan, Ben Lofehie and Carrie <br /> Saunders. <br /> Personnel -Minutes 4/29 <br /> Berg Lof'ch .e moved to accept the Personnel Board's minutes of April 29. Carrie <br /> Saunders seconded the motion. All present were in favor. <br /> 5 <br /> Six-Month Performance Evaluation <br /> The Board reviewed a six-month performance appraisal for Paula Rooney. Performance <br /> is rated good in Comm' uhica ive Ability, Dependability-, Job Knowledge, (duality of Work <br /> and Initiative Ability and superior in Attendance, Personal Appearance, Judgement, and <br /> Quantity of Work. <br /> Interview for Administrative Secretary <br /> The Board interviewed. Paula looney for the position of Administrative secretary to the <br /> Building Inspector. A review of the salary for the position was made with Mrs. looney <br /> with Chairman Sullivan stating that the hourly rate i $6.73. Mrs. Rooney was also ad- <br /> vised that there would be union dues. Chairman Sullivan told Mrs. Rooney that the <br /> Clerical Contract called for a probationary period and that the Personnel Board world <br /> be recommending that it be waived for benefits purposes only. . <br /> Chairman Sullivan asked Mrs. Rooney why she wanted to move from the Selectmen's office <br /> to the Building nspector's office? Mrs. looney replied that she feels it is a promo- <br /> tion and that she does not..have the responsibility in the Selectmen's office. she said <br /> that she feels that the Building Inspector' s office would be more of a challenge. <br /> w <br /> Carrie Saunders asked Mrs. Rooney to give the- Board some examples of the kinds of respon- <br /> sibilities that she would like to assume. Mrs. Rooneysaid that she would like to be <br /> more involved with people by answering question' s and helping with decisions. She said <br /> that she has had experience in running ars office and: dealing with all binds of people <br /> and that the job in the Building Inspector's office would be more ire 'lime of what she <br /> is used to. She said that she likes working for the town. <br /> R <br /> Ben Lofchie asked if she would be subtle in calming people down Mrs. Mooney replied <br /> "yes". Caroline Gilligan asked how she got along with Mr. Boyd'? Mrs. Mooney replied <br /> "fine . <br /> Police Examination <br /> Chairman Sullivan and Ben Lo ehie will help to administer the Police Examination scheduled <br /> for Jure 5 at 1 :30 p. . to be held at the Mashpee Middle School. <br /> Article 3 <br /> Berg L.ofchie was designated by the Board to rove Article 33 on the Annual Town Meeting <br /> warrant. <br /> Deadline for July Special Town. Meeting Articles <br /> The Beard reviewed a .Turemo dated May 16 from the Executive Secretary stating that May 24 <br /> has been established as the deadline for articles for the July special town meeting. <br /> The secretary was asked to follow up with an article if needed for monies for a consul- <br /> tant. <br />
