I Personnel Board Minutes Meeting of .February 2 , 1987 Page Recommendation of Part-Time Clerk - Police Dept . The r Board�reviewed�a�memo ifrom Chief�Frye recommending ending that Mary Ann Souza - be appointed for the position of part-time clerk to the Police 'Department . The Board noted that Mrs ., Souza was interviewed for the position in November and was recommended by them as their number one candidate. Request for Temporary recreation Aides The Board reviewed�a memo from the Recreation Director- dated January 20 requesting the hire of temporary recreation aides to provide substitute program coverage . The Director recommends 'Thomas Smith and Holly Souza for the positions . She indicates that funding has been allocated for this purpose The Board - voted unanimous-ly to approve the temporary hire of Thomas Smith and. Holly Souza to be effect i e immediately . Annual Evaluation - D . Boyd. The Board reviewed a recommendation for Doug Boyd to be granted a step increase which came from the Executive Secretary : The Board noted that the form the evaluation was done on was not the one adopted by the Board . Chairmani Sullivan requested that a memo be seat to th-e Executive Secretary advising him that the Board would like the proper evaluation form filled out so that .tine rating system could be used -.- The sed .:The Board slid take the Executive Secretary ' s recommendation to grant Doug Boyd a step increase into consideration : They unanimou' sly vo 'ed to make it effective on his promotion date of January- 16 . Personal Services Contract - Deputy Long .. The Board reviewed the p.ersonal services contract for Deputy Chief Robert Long along with a copy of a memo from the Town Ac-countant dated January 30 relative to the salary to be paid : The Town Accountant is. withholding p- proval of payment of retroactive monies for Robert Long stating that there appears to be no 3ustification for payment ,of the -additional $133 monthly . The Personnel Board concurred with the Town Accountant ' s decision to with- hold payment in -that upgrades of positions can only be done at Town Meeting along with appropriation of monies . Letter from Selectmen re : Candidate Residential Preference The Board reviewed a�memo elated January�1 from the Executive Secretary . stating that the Board of Selectmen directed that the Personnel Board be remind6d that Section V , Par "I 2-b of the P .A .-P .- states that Arany applicant from the Town of Mashpee shall be given first con'siderati'on when his appli- cation form indicates to the Burd or its de.signee that he may be qualified rfor the position , to be filled" .
