PERSONNEL BOARD MINUTES <br /> MEETING OF JANUARY 13, 1992 <br /> MASHPEE TOWN MALL <br /> The following members of the Mashpee Personnel Board were present <br /> Chairman Robert W . Sullivan, Jane Stockbridge, Rita Sousa and Leo Turo <br /> ( arriving at 7 : 00 p.m . ) <br /> Chairman Sullivan convened the meeting at 6 : 15 p . m . <br /> Personnel Minutes <br /> Fane Stockbridge moved to accept the Personnel Board Minutes of <br /> November 9 as written. Rita Sousa seconded . All in favor . <br /> Fane Stockbridge roved that the Personnel Board Minutes of <br /> November 25 be accepted as submitted , Rita Sousa seconded . All in <br /> favor . <br /> i <br /> Fane Stockbridge mored to accept the Personnel Board Minutes of <br /> December 9 as written. Rita Sousa seconded . All in favor, <br /> Rita Sousa moved to accept the Personnel Board minutes of December to <br /> as written, Bob Sullivan seconded . All in favor. <br /> Discussion_ of _ Town Engineer. <br /> In follow-up to a memo dated December 27 from Kevin Harrington, <br /> Executive Secretary, requesting the Personnel Board to see if there <br /> exists methods of allowing Greg Taylor, D. P.W. Director to serge as <br /> Town Engineer while performing his duties as D. P.W. Director, the <br /> Board met with Mr. Taylor for this purpose . In his memo, the <br /> Executive Secretary suggested a review of relevant job descriptions to <br /> examine possibilities of merging position descriptions . - <br /> The Board also received a copy of a memo dated December 26 from the <br /> Executive Secretary stating that the Board of Selectmen unanimously <br /> voted to have Mr. Taylor assist the Building Inspector in an <br /> engineering capacity in a review of the Kri ansky and Duffy projects . <br /> Also presented to the Doard was a memo from Mr. Taylor dated ,fan. 1 <br /> relative to the Town Engineer job description and the scope of work . <br /> Jane Stockbridge asked if it was possible that the D. P. W. Director ' s <br /> salary would corer part of the extra compensation for the engineering <br /> work's She commented that a ray to look at it might be that the D. P.W. <br /> position be under Town Engineer , <br /> Greg Taylor said that the D. P.W . cope is much broader and more <br /> intense . He said that he felt the town needed an engineer and that he <br /> sato this as an opportunity to get town engineering started, but does <br /> not see it as secondary . He commented that the 'Town Engineer <br /> position is classified two steps higher than the Director of Public <br /> Works . Jane Stockbridge commented "education wise" . <br />
