PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> MEETING OF JUNE 29P 1992 <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> The following Personnel Board members were present for the meeting : <br /> Robert W. Sullivan, Chairman, C. Ben Lof hie, Leo Turo, Jane <br /> Stockbridge and Rita Sousa. <br /> Chairman Sullivan convened the .meeting at 10 : 00 a-m e <br /> Personnel Board Mi ute <br /> C. Ben Lof hie moved to accept the Personnel Board minutes of <br /> June 8, 1992 . Rita Sousa asked that page 2, Reappointments of Board <br /> Members, fourth line be corrected o read 'tin ac ordan a with"' and <br /> that on page 3, Vacation Impact, third paragraph, spelling of word <br /> " orf iture't be corrected. Rita Sousa seconded the motion to accept <br /> the minutes of June 8 with the corrections . All in favor. <br /> Vacation Im <br /> The Personnel. Board reviewed a letter dated June 15, 1992 from Town <br /> Counsel to the Board of Selectmen relative to excess vacation <br /> carry-over. The Board also reviewed a memo dated June 22, 1992 from <br /> Selectman Caffyn in which the Board of Selectmen voted that any <br /> employee carrying excess vacation time into must take time in <br /> fiscal year 1993 or it will be lost , Selectman Caffyn asked that <br /> employees affected by the vote of the Selectmen be notified and be <br /> required to sign an acknowledgement of receipt of this notification. <br /> Position in Treasurer ' s Office - Recommendations of Jane Stockbridge, <br /> Fane Stockbridge advised the Board that she met with Rinne Shaw, <br /> Treasurer about the vacant position in her office . She explained to <br /> the Board that the Person who has held this position is retiring <br /> from the town. <br /> Jane said that she requested the Department Mead, Anne Shaw, to fill <br /> out the Position Questionnaire fora, The position has been <br /> classified as an Administrative Secretarial position. Jane told the <br /> Board that there are two positions under the Clerical. Union contract <br /> on the same level - Administrative Secretary and Principal Clerk . <br /> The requirements of an Administrative Secretary and a Princ al Clerk <br /> is to tree at a speed of 60 w. p .m . <br /> After review of the positio � Jame said that she is recommending <br /> that it he classified to that of Principal Clerk . The position does <br /> not call for speed typing . It deals with filling in forms . She <br /> also asked the Board to reduce the typing requirement for the <br /> Principal Clerk position to 40 w.p .m,. <br /> Rita gue tionned whether the the Principal Clerk and administrative <br /> Secretary are of the same value to the town as far as the duties . <br /> Jane said that she feels it is . <br />
