Personnel Board Minutes gage 2 Meeting of Jure 29, 1992 C Position in re sure s Office coat . BobSullivan asked if there dere any other Principal Clerk positions in the 'down. The Personnel Assistant responded that she did not Eknow of any others . Ben Lofchie moved to accept Jane Stockbridge ' s recommendations for the title of the position and for reducing the speed of the typing requirements of Principal Clerk . Leo Turo seconded , All in favor. S-Recial Police Officer AIRROintment -.-. Review and Comment The Board reviewed a copy of a memo dated Juane 24 from Selectmen Caffyn with an attached memo from the Police Chief dated ,Tune 2 . Selectmen Caffyn asps the Personnel Board to review and comment a to the cost involved in appointing Mary Coomey as a Special. Police f f i er/Matron ,in addition to her present appointment as an Administrative Part-Time Clerk . After some discussion, Rita Sousa said that she would be willing to review the Police Department ' s needs with the Chief and draft a response for the Board ' s review. All were in agreement, OLD BUSINESS* waterwa Position Des ri tion ,rye Stockbridge said that she followed up on reviewing the recommended changes for the Waterway Administrator position description, which were received from Ben Gordon, Waterway Commissioner. Fane said that she agreed with most of the things that he proposed with the exception of a couple things . She commented that the specialty of Marine Biology should be required and that 40 hours i what we list for all exempt positions . Rita pointed out that a person would need Marine Biology to carry out the duties of the position under items 4, 8, 9 and 1 . All Board members were in agreement with Jane ' s recommendations . Leo Tukro abstained . e nest for Waterwa Assistant The Personnel Assistant advised the Board that there was some confusion over a request for a waterway Assistant as to whether the person would work for the Shellfish Constable or the Harbormaster, Apparently, the Harbormaster is requesting the person; however the Shellfish Constable has the money in his budget . The Board advised the Personnel Assistant to have Hank Madden, Harbormaster, put his request in writing to the Board of. Selectmen for approval .
