Personnel Board Minutes gage 2 <br /> Meeting of Jure 29, 1992 <br /> C Position in re sure s Office coat . <br /> BobSullivan asked if there dere any other Principal Clerk positions <br /> in the 'down. The Personnel Assistant responded that she did not <br /> Eknow of any others . <br /> Ben Lofchie moved to accept Jane Stockbridge ' s recommendations for <br /> the title of the position and for reducing the speed of the typing <br /> requirements of Principal Clerk . Leo Turo seconded , All in favor. <br /> S-Recial Police Officer AIRROintment -.-. Review and Comment <br /> The Board reviewed a copy of a memo dated Juane 24 from Selectmen <br /> Caffyn with an attached memo from the Police Chief dated ,Tune 2 . <br /> Selectmen Caffyn asps the Personnel Board to review and comment a <br /> to the cost involved in appointing Mary Coomey as a Special. Police <br /> f f i er/Matron ,in addition to her present appointment as an <br /> Administrative Part-Time Clerk . <br /> After some discussion, Rita Sousa said that she would be willing to <br /> review the Police Department ' s needs with the Chief and draft a <br /> response for the Board ' s review. All were in agreement, <br /> OLD BUSINESS* <br /> waterwa Position Des ri tion <br /> ,rye Stockbridge said that she followed up on reviewing the <br /> recommended changes for the Waterway Administrator position <br /> description, which were received from Ben Gordon, Waterway <br /> Commissioner. <br /> Fane said that she agreed with most of the things that he proposed <br /> with the exception of a couple things . She commented that the <br /> specialty of Marine Biology should be required and that 40 hours i <br /> what we list for all exempt positions . Rita pointed out that a <br /> person would need Marine Biology to carry out the duties of the <br /> position under items 4, 8, 9 and 1 . <br /> All Board members were in agreement with Jane ' s recommendations . <br /> Leo Tukro abstained . <br /> e nest for Waterwa Assistant <br /> The Personnel Assistant advised the Board that there was some <br /> confusion over a request for a waterway Assistant as to whether the <br /> person would work for the Shellfish Constable or the Harbormaster, <br /> Apparently, the Harbormaster is requesting the person; however the <br /> Shellfish Constable has the money in his budget . <br /> The Board advised the Personnel Assistant to have Hank Madden, <br /> Harbormaster, put his request in writing to the Board of. Selectmen <br /> for approval . <br />
