PERSONNEL BOARD MEETING OF SEPTEMBER SP 1992 KASHPEE TOWNHALL The following members of the Personnel Board were present : Chairman Rita Sousa, Robert Su l 1 ivan, Jane Stockbridge, C. Ben Lof hie and Leo Toro. Chairman Sousa convexed the meeting at : 06 Pome As the new Chairman of the Personnel Board, Rita took a. few minutes to tal.k to the Board members . She commented that the I ash ee Codes say that the Board of Selectmen may be the Personnel Board or that they may appoint registered voters to act on their behalf . She asked the rode, All Board members if the other Board members were aware of responded that they were aware of itt Rita continued to say that she viewed the Board ' s function &S serving t the pleasure of the Board of Selectmen. She commented that the Board serves in an advisory capacity giving the best advice and counsel . She said that she ,intends to work closely with the Execu- tive a - tiva Secretary and the Board of Selectmen. Rita also told the Board members that confidentiality is something she feels strongly about. She said that she is assured that is ow- the Board has always acted. Personnel Board Minuts Ben Lofchie moved to accept the minutes of July 20, 1992 . Rita Sousa seconded the motion. All in favor. Ben Lofchie moved to accept the minutes of August 11 . Jane Stockbridge asked that Page 2, paragraph P last sentence be corrected to read: "the secretary must be paid for all hours worked beyond her usual schedule at straight time up t 40 hours and at time and one half for hours worked over forty" , Leo uro moved to accept the minutes of. August 11 as corrected. Bryn Lofhie seconded the motion. All in favor. i Board. Liaisons ,RI FFIq*�I The Board conducted their annual review of the current list o Personnel Beard liaisons . A few revisions were made as follows Rita Sousa will serge as the liaison to the Board of Selectmen/ Executive Secretary and Bob Sullivan will serve as liaison to the Assessing and Leisure Service Departments , 1 Town Meeting Articles Rita Sousa brought the Beard up-to-date with regard to the three Personnel Board articles , The article increasing the longevity rates and the article changing the salary schedule will not go on the warrant for the October Town Meeting , The Board of Selectmen feel that money articles are more properly introduced at May Town Meeting. The article recommending the upgrading of P.A.P. positions will only include the Administrative Clerk in the Town Clerk ' s office from
