The Finance Committee recommended "no's on upgrading the P. A. P. positions . It is a money thing. The reason why the Appeals Board secretary and the Personnel Assistant were not approved is because � they did not just repressent a grade change but an actual title change . The Program Supervisor position is not being recommended because of the money and the fact that the position was recently filled by a new employee . Rita said that the Finance Committee has invited Personnel to attend their meeting tonight at 7 : 2 p .m. at which time they will be discussing the article. Floatin ler The Personnel Assistant advised the Board that the Floating Clerk position has still not been filled, The Executive Secretary asked that the Temporary person, Jean Baggs, be let go. It is the Board of Selectmen ' s determination that this position -not be filled, whether temporarily and permanently, until such time as it has been formally approved . Board of Health Correa one en e Chairman Sousa advised the Board that she replied to Chairman reelis ' s memo dated July 20 with regard to the Management by Objective approach not being the way he wants to do employee evaluations . In his memo, he also wanted to matte it clear that the Agent and Assistant Agent are not P.A. P. employees . Rita indicated that on August 17, she responded to Chairman Greelish stating that she knows of no policy dictating an M.B .O. approach and that an appraisal based upon information in his memo seems approriate. With regard to the Health Agent ' s and Assistant Health Agent ' s status regarding the P.A. P. , she indicated that she brought to his attention Paragraph 3b, Page 4 of the P.A. P. Chairman G reelish seat another memo elated August 24 stating that the Board of Health does not recognize the authority which she cited. Correspondence back to Chairman Gree 1 ish from Rita Sousa dated August 26 was read . Board minutes and a copy of the agenda was reviewed . Chairman Sousa asked the Personnel Assistant to forward copies of the minutes and agenda as requested . Town Clerk Correspondence The Board reviewed a memo dated August 190 1992 from Jane Labute asking for copies of recommendations for positions in the Clerk ' s office and the Registrar ' s office . Chairman Sousa asked Jane Stockbridge to follow up by contacting Jane Labute .
