i <br /> PERSONNEL BOARD MEETING <br /> MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 26,, 1996 <br /> SENIOR CENTER <br /> The following meitibers of the Personnel Board were present: <br /> Ron Levine , Norma Kumin, and Marcia Lindsey. <br /> Also present: Jim Long, Council on Aging Administrator <br /> The meeting convened at 9: 15 a.m. <br /> The Committee met for the purpose of interviewing candidates <br /> for the positions of Mini Bus Driver and Administrative Assistant <br /> to the Town Clerk, <br /> Jim Long reviewed the position of Mini Bus Driver stating that <br /> two drivers will be hired for 19 hours each. There will be <br /> a rotation schedule, Monday -- Friday, 8 : 30 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m. <br /> to be negotiated between the two drivers. The van will hold <br /> 10-12 passengers with two handicapped stations , and it will <br /> be equipped with a two-war radio. The drivers will meed to <br /> be CPR certified. The drivers will receive training by riding <br /> grans from nearby towns . <br /> Rory L. began each interview by asking each candidate if they <br /> received- and reviewed the job description. He stated - that the <br /> rate of pay is $9 .00 per hr. , and the drivers would meed to <br /> be available Monday - Friday, a.m. - .m. Norma K. <br /> asked the candidates if they feel comfortable driving in all <br /> weather conditions. Jim L. stressed the importance of using <br /> good judgment and calling for professional assistance when <br /> needed. Candidates were told there would be some clerical work <br /> and vehicle maintenance involved. <br /> A brief overview of the candidates are as follows <br /> ( l) Richard._Dube : Mr. Dube has been transporting senior <br /> citizens in Mashpee as a volunteer, and he is familiar with <br /> wheel chairs. He also has experience transporting students <br /> in vans. Mr. Dube is comfortable driving in all weather as <br /> he lived in Maine, <br /> ( 2 ) Edward, Tool l r: Mr. Wooler is presently employed as <br /> van driver with the Milton Council on Acing 'rid holds a current <br /> CPR license. He also holds a qualified lift operator license. <br /> He and his wife hope to{ relocate to Mashpee. Mr. Wooley was <br /> asked about his five gears out of the job market; he has been <br /> attending to his ailing father. <br />
