PERSONNEL BOARD MEETING <br /> MINUTES S of OCTOBER 1g 1996 <br /> SENIOR CENTER <br /> The following members of the Personnel Board were present: <br /> Carole Dunivan, Chairman, Norma Kumin, and Marcia Lindsey. <br /> Also present: Marilyn Farren, Personnel Administrator <br /> The meeting convened at 9 : 40 a.m. <br /> LD BUSINESS <br /> Acceptance of Personnel Board Minutes <br /> Forma K. ' moved to accept the Minutes of September 5 , 1996 a <br /> amended. Marcia B. seconded. Unanimous . <br /> Marcia D. roved to accept the Minutes of September 2 , 1996 <br /> as amended. Norma K. seconded. Unanimous . <br /> Mini-Bus Driver Recommendations <br /> Jim Long asked Marilyn to check the references of Daphne Monroe <br /> and Richard Dube. <br /> Ad inist'rative Assistant Position <br /> The Town Clem recommended Meg Santos to the Board of Selectmen, <br /> and they approved. Marilyn will advertise the position of <br /> Assistant Clerk in the newspapers since it is an entry level <br /> position* <br /> Personnel Board Articles <br /> Marilyn distributed the October Town Meeting Articles and the <br /> justification for Personnel Board Articles ##3 and #8 . Article <br /> deals with the cost of living increases for P.A.P. Employees <br /> and Article 8 is an update of the Personnel Administrator <br /> position. Marilyn noted that P.A*P. staged within the 11 cap. <br /> She distributed a list of proposed salary increases and <br /> reclassifications , some of which exceed the 11 cap. forma <br /> asked Marilyn her new status in relation to the chart. Marilyn <br /> stated she will be going to a Grade 1 ( from Grade 12 , Step <br /> ) . A job description of the Personnel Administrator was redone <br /> by the MMA. Norma K. will present these two Articles at Monday ' s <br /> Town Meeting, and Carole Dunivan will also be there to give <br /> support. <br /> Policy on In-House Postin <br /> Marilyn distributed a copy of a Memorandum to the Board of <br /> Selectmen with recommendations for updating the town of Mash ee ' s <br /> hiring process . The Personnel Board was asked to create a policy <br /> for P.A.P. employees . Carole D. reiterated the current policy <br /> which states that when an opening occurs it rust be posted <br /> in-house for 7 clays (which offers promotional opportunity .o <br />
