The parking lot situation at l ashpee/wakeby was also discussed. Alec mentioned that having the <br /> schedules for the parking lot attendants moved up to a 11arn-7pm shift should be considered, as illegal <br /> parking could then be curtailed. <br /> DNR Director Re ort Rick York announced that Brian Everett has been hired as the new Shellfish <br /> Constable. Brian is a Mashpee resident and has 2 degrees from UMass. Brian was a former Deputy Asst, <br /> Constable in Dennis. <br /> Shellfish propagation efforts continue and are going well. He mentioned that 2133 oyster bags for <br /> Mashpee river had been deployed.The dispersal of 5 million quahog seed is underway with a goal of 10 <br /> million seed,corning in batches. He noted that the seed is growing well and conditions are excellent <br /> with good nutrients and no harmful allergy. <br /> On the 7*of July,the Division of Marine fisheries reported that excessive rains and runoff could cause a <br /> bacterial outbreak.Shellfishing from Lewis Bay to Buzzards Bay will be closed until inspected. Tim also <br /> mentioned that an algae bloom In Hamblin Pond was prevalent and Rich added that he planned to <br /> dedicate more shellfish seed to that location, <br /> a hp_ee Lakes--No additional comment <br /> Waquoit Bay Area—No additional comment <br /> waterCualitrpdate-Testing is underway <br /> Barnstable Count Coastal Resource Committee Update---No report <br /> Sewer Committee Update- No fleeting <br /> Public Access Update- No report <br /> Waterways Improvement Plan and Dred in <br /> Keri reported that three articles are being circulated for consideration at the Town Meeting on October <br /> 16 <br /> {2017. The three articles concerned the Popponesset Approach Channel Dredge 5,OOOCY, 65,0001 <br /> funding of$20,000 for Harbormaster/waterways equipment and a dredge funding proposal for the <br /> Great River/Little River,3 000CY,$39,000. Ken requested a motion for approval. Don Barton made the <br /> motion for approval and Stan Healy 2 and was unanimously approved by Commission members. <br /> Pursuant to the Reorganization of waterways Commission for the next year, Don MacDoald <br /> recommended that the Commission membership status remain intact. Don Barton made a motion to <br /> this effect,and was 20 by Tim Leed hare. The vote on the motion was unanimous. <br /> Ken also requested that invoice approval authority, at this level,be granted to the slice Chairman on an <br /> as needed basis. The expressed purpose is to facilitate timely approval in order to conduct the business <br /> of the Commission. A motion was made by Tim Leedham and Don Barton 2r'a the motion. The vote was <br /> unanimous. <br /> On the Great River Ramp project, Ken stated there was no appreciable change in the project status as <br /> previously reported. <br />
