Our office spent a lot of hours patrolling both
Johns Road and Mashpee/wakeby, Our increased patrols and tough enforcement action on both ponds
made it extremely hard on the individuals causing problems; and endangering all others who use the
ponds for recreation, in a responsible manner. The most vital part of my job as Harbormaster, is making
sure everyone using the waterways are safe. This year; a strong statement was made on Johns Pond and
Mashpee/wakeby.,to individuals who put others in danger. "If you operate recklessly, and with
disregard for public safety, there will be swift and stringent penalties for your actions."
