Mashpee Waterway Commission Mashpee Town Hail Minutes of the November 14, 2017 Meeting Chairman Bates called the meeting to order at 9:04 AM at the Mashpee Town Hall in the Popponesset Meeting Room, Present: Ken Bates, Don Barton,Stan Healy, Dorn MacDonald,Al Wicket,Stephen Mone Absent:Tim Lee d harry Also in Attendance: Rick York,DNR Director,Alec Turner, Harbormaster and Ashley Esher, DNR. Minutes of the September 1211, 2017 meeting were reviewed.There was no October,,meeting. lien Bates added that he would forward a reply letter to the Pirates Cove Association on their dredging inquiry and that the engineering payment for the contracted 1916 Channel COC filing had been processed, Mr. Bates noted the Commission had voted their approval for him to process. Don MacDonald made a motion to approve the minutes and was 2nd by Al wickel,and unanimously approved. Appointments and information Sessions: Stephen alone was welcomed by Chairman Bates and other Committee members as a new member of the Commission. This was after BOS selection at last nights (11/13/2017) Board of Selectman's Meeting. Stephen Mone, as a new member, indicated that he wants to get quickly up to date on the MwC activities. He commented that it would be beneficial to him if communication and correspondence documents could be made available before the meeting,, perhaps scanning the documents in advance, Ken Bates said he was open to practical ways to enhance the review and evaluation process. He noted scanning of full shed engineering drawings was not practical. Stephen requested copies of the two prior years ,,minutes be sent to hire for his review. The process was explained that the minutes are delivered to the Town Clerk for sign in after approval by the Commission and the procedure is for the Clerk's office to forward the minutes to the IT off ice for posting on the Town website. For timely review, Iden suggested that Stephen could visit the Town Clerks office and review their composite file as Stephen noted there were no MWC minutes on file on the Town website for the past two gears. Communications and Correspondence: Documentation received by Chairman Bates was presented to the Commission members for review and comment.These documents included the findings of the annual l ater Equality Review as presented to the Selectman, documentation on two dock/embankment applications (Mercier and Tidewater Condo) and 1916 Channel COC information for Mashpee and Barnstable with Sullivan Engineering invoice.
