Mashpee Waterway Commission <br /> Mashpee Town Hail <br /> Minutes of the November 14, 2017 Meeting <br /> Chairman Bates called the meeting to order at 9:04 AM at the Mashpee Town Hall in the Popponesset <br /> Meeting Room, <br /> Present: Ken Bates, Don Barton,Stan Healy, Dorn MacDonald,Al Wicket,Stephen Mone <br /> Absent:Tim Lee d harry <br /> Also in Attendance: Rick York,DNR Director,Alec Turner, Harbormaster and Ashley Esher, DNR. <br /> Minutes of the September 1211, 2017 meeting were reviewed.There was no October,,meeting. lien Bates <br /> added that he would forward a reply letter to the Pirates Cove Association on their dredging inquiry and <br /> that the engineering payment for the contracted 1916 Channel COC filing had been processed, Mr. Bates <br /> noted the Commission had voted their approval for him to process. Don MacDonald made a motion to <br /> approve the minutes and was 2nd by Al wickel,and unanimously approved. <br /> Appointments and information Sessions: Stephen alone was welcomed by Chairman Bates and other <br /> Committee members as a new member of the Commission. This was after BOS selection at last nights <br /> (11/13/2017) Board of Selectman's Meeting. <br /> Stephen Mone, as a new member, indicated that he wants to get quickly up to date on the MwC <br /> activities. He commented that it would be beneficial to him if communication and correspondence <br /> documents could be made available before the meeting,, perhaps scanning the documents in advance, <br /> Ken Bates said he was open to practical ways to enhance the review and evaluation process. He noted <br /> scanning of full shed engineering drawings was not practical. Stephen requested copies of the two prior <br /> years ,,minutes be sent to hire for his review. The process was explained that the minutes are delivered <br /> to the Town Clerk for sign in after approval by the Commission and the procedure is for the Clerk's office <br /> to forward the minutes to the IT off ice for posting on the Town website. For timely review, Iden <br /> suggested that Stephen could visit the Town Clerks office and review their composite file as Stephen <br /> noted there were no MWC minutes on file on the Town website for the past two gears. <br /> Communications and Correspondence: Documentation received by Chairman Bates was presented to <br /> the Commission members for review and comment.These documents included the findings of the <br /> annual l ater Equality Review as presented to the Selectman, documentation on two dock/embankment <br /> applications (Mercier and Tidewater Condo) and 1916 Channel COC information for Mashpee and <br /> Barnstable with Sullivan Engineering invoice. <br /> Old Business: <br /> Harbormaster Re�aort: <br />
