He stated that -there is no <br /> money available at Special Town Meeting g to transfer. Mr. Murphy <br /> suggested that the Board seriously curtail all operations involving <br /> Legal and Engineeri g e The primary reason for the legal deficit <br /> is the area of special litigation, specifically to pa.y the law firm <br /> of Palmer and Dodge for the Belcher Land claim against the Town forest. <br /> Mr. Murphy Foresees a. total of $110,000. to settle this claim. <br /> i <br /> 6. Conservation Co mission. Mrs .. T orias introduced <br /> Patrick CoffeY who has expressed an interest in serving on the Con- <br /> servationCommission'. Mr. Coffey has sent a letter of interest in <br /> this regard . <br /> WATER O IV MI S S_4 OIC i <br /> Mrs . Thomas , Chairwoman, had presented a. report for the <br /> geek ending February 28 , 1987 on the status of water'-related a.c iviti-es . <br /> She noted that DEE has communicated that they will continue to supply <br /> bottled water as long as is necessary to the Asher' Path/summerwood <br /> area. I rs e Tomas said that DEQE did not respond to concerns to continue <br /> a monitoring program for this areas <br /> Mr. Hanson suggested that for the benefit of those seeking <br /> the position of water Commissioner. - the Interim water Commissioners <br /> set date and time after the first of April to meet with such indi- <br /> viduals giving an opportunity to b introduced to what is .involved <br /> There being no further business , the Board entered into <br /> Executive Session after individual, affirmative Grote to discuss polis <br /> matters go cerning the Fire Department.
