Board of Selectmen Page Two <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> Wednesday, Larch 11, 1987 <br /> memorandum of recommendations dated March .5, 1987 , Regarding the <br /> situation of Bowdoin. Road , Mr. Murphy said that in accord-ance with <br /> directions , he has requested Assistant Town. Counsel to proceed to <br /> prepare the text of the necessary article. Mr. Hanson requested <br /> that lir. Murphy obtain an estimate of projected legal service costs <br /> from Town Counsel for Bowd oin Road, Mr. Murphy presented two draft <br /> letters , one to all Department Heads and one to Town Counsel , setting <br /> forth modifications in the manner in which the Town solicits legal <br /> services . He noted that there are slight differences in the two <br /> draft letters and added that if publication is to be made , the draft <br /> letter to the Department Heads shall be the one to be cited, Mr. <br /> Lawrence moved to adopt these recommendations concerning the Legal <br /> and Engineering Account as presented in the memorandum of the Exec- <br /> utive Secretary dated March 5, 1987 and that these recommendations <br /> be put into effect immediately and further, that the Board adopt <br /> both draft letters , one to the Department Heads and one to Town counsel, <br /> the letter to Town Counsel being excluded from publication in the news <br /> r edia.o Mrs .. In a memorandum Of March 4v 1987, Chief <br /> Frye requested an increase from Step 4 in Grade IV to Step 5 in <br /> Grade IV and again noted that Ms . orton's performance rating i <br /> excellent. Ms . Horton is entitled to a. Step increase in Marchi, <br /> Mrs . Thomas moved that an increase from Grade I - Step 4 to Grade <br /> I - Step 5 be approved for Barbara Horton. lir. Lawrence, seconded <br /> the motion. The vote was unanimous . <br /> 2. Lawrence <br /> roared that the General order concerning traffic control requirements <br /> of public and private companies on a.public *ws be accepted. Mrs . Meeting warrant to <br /> be held within the Annual Town Meeting. It was unanimously agreed to insert this article on <br /> the warrant for the Special Town Meeting within the. Annual Town meeting <br /> as requested by the Council on Aging, <br /> . Water District Meeting, Mr. Murphy presented a, copy <br /> of a. letter from Town Counsel inliwhich he suggests that the Board of <br /> Selectmen prepare a warrant for a district meeting to be held t <br /> accept the water District Act and for the purpose of adopting initial <br />
