Mr. Murphy noted in his r emorar dui dated June 2. 1987 <br /> that Assistant Town Counsel lus advised that Prime Properties , Inc. <br /> is anxious to execute the land transaction authorized by the May 4, <br /> 1987 Special Town Meeting. He recommended that Mr. Fudala, Mr. <br /> Burden and Mrs Roux meet with the Board in open session for the <br /> purpose of a presentation on the full plan. He further recommended <br /> that this meeting be held as soon as possible <br /> It was unanimously agreed that lir. Murphy will discuss the scheduling <br /> of such a meeting with Mr. Fudala. <br /> 11. Mr. Gottlieb reported that he was given an article <br /> on the overlay district several weeks ago by the -Board of Health. <br /> He had given the article to the water Quality Review Committee for <br /> review and that Committee has - voted conditionally to put thisarti- <br /> cle on the warrant for the September Special Town meeting. Mr. <br /> Gottlieb stated that the wording of the article is acceptable , The <br /> article would have to be forwarded to the Planning Board and public <br /> hearing be held. After brief discussion, Selectman Gottlieb moved <br /> that this article be included on the warrant for the Special Town <br /> Meeting, scheduled to be held on July 27 , 1987.. Ir. Carter seconded <br /> the motion. The vote was unanimous . <br /> NEW BUS IVES S <br /> 1. Police Department - Step increase . Police Chief, <br /> Curtis W. Frye , requested in a, memorandum dated May 22 , 1987 , that <br /> the Board of Selectmen consider a, step increase for Patrolman <br /> Gerald Umina from $401.86i per week t $420-13. per week effective <br /> June 3 , 1987 . lir. Cantor- moved that the Bo r' d of Selectmen approve <br /> this step increase for Patrolman Umina. as requested by the Chief of <br /> Police . Mr. Gottlieb seconded the motion, lir. Hanson abstained <br /> from voting. Mrs . Thomas was in favor} of this motion. <br /> 2 . Parks and c re at i on Department - resignation. The <br /> Program Director of the Department, Wendy Boothman, has submitted <br /> her resignation in a letter dated May 20 , 1987 . This resignation <br /> is effective June 6, 1987a Mr. Danson roved that the Board of <br /> Selectmen accept the resignation of Wendy Boothman as Program <br /> Director of the Parks and Recreation Department. Mr. Carter seconded <br /> the motion. The vote was unanimous . <br /> The Executive Secretary referred to a memorandum of Wendy <br /> Rubin, Director of the Parks and Recreation Department, in which <br /> she recommended the hiring of John P. Fortin as Interim Program <br /> Director to be employed until September , 1987 . ra Murphy sup- <br />. <br /> ported this recommendation especially in light of planned summer <br /> activities . Mr. Gottlieb roved that John P. Fortin be appointed <br /> as Interim Program Director throughout the summer months and as <br /> recommended by the Director of the Parks and Recreation Department*' <br /> Mr. Canter seconded the mot-ion. The vote was unanimous * The Board <br /> discussed the recruitment of- a permanent replacement for this poli- <br /> tion and it was unanimously agreed to defer action until�.l a,fter <br />
