Board of Selectmen Regular Meeting we dne s day p June 17 , 1987 Present : Be Jean Thomas , Chairwoman; Jeremy Carter; Andrew Gottlieb; Peter Lawrence . Joseph Murphy, Executive secretary, was also present. Chairwoman Thomas convened this meeting at 7 : 00 P. M. Mrs . Thomas noted that in the minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 10, 1987 , 'specifically in the discussion concerning illegal littering, the. name "Silva" shall be charged to "Costa" throughout. Mr. Gottlieb roved that the minutes of the meeting held on June to , 1987, Regular} session, be accepted after correction above-noted and that the minutes of the Executive Session of the same date be accepted as presented , Mr. Carter seconded the mo ion e. The vote was unanimous. APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS 1. China. Plaza of Mashpee , Inc . - Application for All Alcoholic^ Beverage License . selectmen Carter stepped down from the .easing on. this matter due to a possible conflict of interest, John Hopkins , Esq. , made presentation of relevant 'Information and stated that this enterprise will be located at lashpee Commons and will occupy two units having a total of 3 ,670 sq. ft. He presented and foiled with. the Board all appropriate plans ; proposed menu; evi- dence of citizenship of the designated full-time , on premise manager; and Affidavit of Notice to Abutters . Vincent K. Lai , designated manager is also the President, a. director of the Corporation and a stockholder. The premises will be leased from Fields Point Corpora- tion and will be undergoing renovations after which they will apply for a Certificate of- Occupancy. Mr. Hopkins stated that the appli- cants are seeking a year-round/annual All Alco.holic Beverage and Common Victualers license to open at 11:30 A. I. for lunch service and proposing to case at 2: 00 A.I . in the summer season cutting back from that closing time as business determines in the off season. Selectman Lawrence moved that this Application be granted as presented pursuant to receiving the required ' Oc c upa cy Permit based on plans submitted to the Board of Selectmen at this hearing and further, to e contingent on the decision of the Planning- Board in favor of allowing this used Mr. Gottlieb seconded. the motion,, The vote of those members of the Board present for this hearing was unanimously in favor. The Chairwoman closed this hearing at :20 P. M. Mr. Murphy noted Licensing Board regulations and stated that if the Applicant is permitted to serve food until 2e. 00 A• Me , the licensing Board's regulations will have to be amended. 2 .
