Mr. Carter recalled that this matter was discussed at the regular meeting of the Board on July 20, 198' and inquired as to the status of' this matter. Mr. Murphy stated that a. letter had been sent to Mr. Witt suggesting that Mrs . Thomas be the contact person for further dis- cussions specificallyrin regard to the possibility bf placing an addendum to the contract between the Town of Falmouth and the Town of Mashpee concerning payment. Mr. Murphy reported that lir.,, Witt was on vacation last week, -NEW BTPS INESS ; 1. New Seabury CorporationApplication for Permit. Ir. Murphy explained that the permit requested is for an enter- tainment license. lir o Gottlieb moved that New S eabur r Corporation be granted a, permit to hold an outdoor concert on August 22, 1987 as requested, lir. Hanson seconded the motion. Ir. Lawrence ab- stained from voting. Mrs. Thomas and Mr. Carter voted in favor o the motion, 2. Fire Department - High Bard Radios . In a memorandum dated July 21, 1987, Acting Chief Chase requested that the Fire Department be issued the 5 High band old police radios mobile radios and 3 High bard 'porta.bles , Action was deferred on this matter. 3. Letter of interest - constable a. ointment. Howland Arora expressed his interest in being appointed as constable for the Town in his letter of interest dated July 20, 1987o Mr. Murphy stated that there are currently three constables . Mr. Hanson sug- gested that the - appointment of Howland Evora. be 11put on hold" until and unless needed. Mrs . Thomas stated , "I have no problem with Mr. Arora, being appointed -a.s 6onstable whatsoever" . 4. Bobby Byrnes Pub - Dols on Light JOK Run, liro Murphy stated that Bobby Byrnes Pub has requested a, one-da license for the sale of malt beverages which would be outside their licensed premises in conjunction with the 10K run. Proceeds from the sale of beer will go to the "Everyone Swims"' buildin' g fund for the YMCA. lir. Gottlieb moved that the Board of Selectmen grant a. one-day license to Bobby Byrnes Bub for the sale of beer. Mr. Carter seconded .the motion., n., The Grote was unani-mous . 5. Articles for the Board's review, The Executive Secretary t a.t e that three a.rti c l e have been proposed for the Special Town Meeting scheduled to be -held on ,august 3l, 19870 . s
