Board of Selectmen Page Four <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> Monday, July 27 , 1987 <br /> summer season and requested that the Board of Selectmen appoint <br /> as recommended.ended. Mr. Gottlieb moved that the Board of Selectmen <br /> appoint Phillip Hicks and luc i l l e Mograss as substitute Gate <br /> Attendants for the summer season. Mr. Carter seconded the motion. <br /> The vote was unanimous . <br /> The Director of Parks and Recreation Department was <br /> present at the request of Selectman Gottlieb to discuss a probl r <br /> with Se Mist time-share �eooer .r the use of shuttlezes <br /> to South Cape Beach area, Ms . Dubin stated that using shuttle buses <br /> to move people to the beach presents several problems ,including <br /> overcrowding on the beach creating a burden for bead. attendants , <br /> dangerous vehicular traffic problem, inequity of providing services <br /> for persons who are eligible to purchase beach stickers but do not <br /> as they use the shuttle service . It was unanimously agreed to set <br /> up an appointment with representatives of Sea. Mist to discuss this <br /> itua.tion. <br /> OID BUS 11ES S : <br /> 1. SEMASS ,. Mr o Murphy y referr°ed to a letter from SEMASS <br /> Partnership dated July 14, 1987 concerning SE ASS waste Quantities . <br /> Mr. Murphy said that there is no specific request at this time ; how- <br /> ever, they are suggesting that when the Town modifies the -.s=ua.l <br /> tonnage figure in the Contract, it may b better to wait until SE1ASS <br /> provides additional data. <br /> 2 . Police Union Contract. The Executive Secretary reported <br /> that the Union voted on Thursday, July 23 , 1987 to ratify the agree- <br /> ment. After discussion, Mr. Carter moved that the Board of Selectmen <br /> ratify the Police Union Contract as amended and presented to the <br /> Board this date . Mr. Gottlieb seconded the motion. The vote was <br /> unanimous , The term of the Contract is July 1, 19 to Juno 30, 1989. <br /> 3 . Cape Cod munici al Health Group re : representative <br /> from the Town ofIa.shriee . Action on this matter was deferred from <br /> ...•nn.�.i� r.nm•r rnrr�rrn - - - - - - - r ■ter_ <br /> the meeting of July 20, 1987# The Executive Secretary reported that <br /> Marilyn F'ar'r°en, . �.nistra.tive Secretary to the Personnel Board, is <br /> w ng -t serve .n this ca.pacit lir. Carter moved that Marilyn <br /> Farren be appointed as representative of the Town of Mashpee to the <br /> Cape Cod Municipal Health Group. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion, <br /> The vote was unanimous <br /> . Harbormaster Pay Scalea. As an Assistant Harbormaster, <br /> Mr. Gottlieb absented himself from the meeting for the duration of <br /> discussion and action on this matter. The Chairwoman reviewed the <br /> discussion held during the meeting of July 20, 1987. Afton brief <br /> discussion, those -members - of the B -a, .d. of Selectmen present unani- <br /> mously approved the pay scale as submitted by the Harbormaster. <br /> 5.
