LV 4 Board of Selectmen Regular Meeting Monday, August 17 , 1987 { Present : Be Jean Thomas , Chairwoman; Jeremy Carter; Andrew Gottlieb. The Chairwoman convened this regular session at : 0 '. Ke: r. Gottlieb amended the minutes of August 3, 1987, regular session, to indicate that he was absent from the- meeting- r m during- action taken on the motion regarding the article to raise and appropriate $6,000. for conversion of Assessors files , etc, with that amendment, Mr. Gottlieb moved that the Board accept the minutes of the regular meeting held on- August 3, Z Mrs Caster seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous . APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS . King's Cgb, Inc. re.: rate increase . This matter was initially presented at the meeting of the Board held on August 10, 1987 , at which time action was deferred so that a, representative of King's Cab, Inc . could be present and also so that rate comparisons with those of neighboring towns could be submitted. Peter Janes van was present for King's Cab, Inc. and submitted a. copy of the rates of fare for the Town of Ba,rnsta.ble. After discussion, lir. Carter moved that Kin 's Cab, Inc, be permitted to increase rates of fare as follows : 1 .. $1.25 for the first 215 of a. mile ; 2 $ .30. for each additional 115 of a mile ; 3 $12.00. an hour for waiting to e to begin two 2 minutes after the arrival of the taxi cab, Ir. Gottlieb seconded the motion*I The vote was unanimous ,. King's Cab, Inc. w .l beotif .ed as to date: these rates of fare will become effective . 2. Cape Cod Convention Center d/bZa Sun wah - Richard Halpern, Mr. Halpern was present to request permissi-on to 'tempor- arily te p r- arily close the restaurant "Cape Cod Convention Center" d/b/a Sun wa.h, located at 10 Great Neck Road North. He stated that the request to close is for business economic reasons and that he would like to and anticipates reopening the restaurant by May 20, 198 public hearing with due notice given is required as provided by the regulations of the Licensing Board. The Chairwoman stated that Such Public hearing will be scheduled as soon as possible after compliance with regulations . 3. Mashpee River Aareement - Town Planner* Mr. Fudala was present to briefly explain the ashpe e River Study Donation Account Agreement 'between the Town of Mashpee through its Planning Board and S andc a,s tle- ia.s hpee , Inc . , by its President Paul Townsend, Twenty-four Thousand Dollars has been donated to this account by Sandcastle Associates , Inc, The Agreement,�t, i part, states that S a .dcas tl - a,shpee , Inc, "in seeking approval fromthe Mashpe Planning Board for its t-Windchi e Point' project, and in working w in g th staff the ashpee P anni g Department and the ashpee River erw Woodlands Committee , has agreed to participate in the f and in o g
