Board of Selectmen 'age Two Regular. Meeting Monday, August 17, 1987 ongoing and/or future water quality studies on the I ashpee t i er and associated areas in Popponesset Bay, � After discussion, Nor. Gottlieb moved that the Board Qf Selectmen essentially endorse the Agreement between S andcastle-Ma,s- pe , Inc* and the Town of Mashpee Planning Board and acknowledge receipt of the donation of Twenty- four Thousand Dollars . Mr. Carter seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous . OLD BUSINESS : 1. offer to sell real propertv - Tract A-184 Otis AFB, The Chairwoman noted that this matter has been voted on by the Board of Selectmen prviously. The selling price for this parcel o hard *1 S $39t400@00'� . Documents to effect th*s transaction were executed by those members of the Board of Selectmen present at this meeting. 2. Cape, Cod Municipal Health Insurance. Memorandum from Joyce Mason, Administrative Assistant, dated August 13 , 1987 was submitted in which it is noted that Town Counsel has reviewed the agreement proposed by Cape Cod Municipal Health. Group, lir. i Reardon's resonse to that agreement is contained in his letter of August , 19 which was attached for the Board's review. Mrs . Farrenand Mr. Tins ley, app ;Cod Municipal Health Insurance repre- sentative , epre--sentative , will be attending the Selectmen's meeting of August 31, 1987o. 3 . Sewer Committee - Selectmen Gottlieb, Mr. Gottlieb said. that a. third member to the Committee. will be appointed at the next regular meeting of the Board. Mr. Gottlieb discussed the duties and responsibilities of the Committee as �t relates to the contract with Weston and Sampson and with individual developers , He briefly discussed developments and proposed developments parti- cularly in the east end of Town and the possibility of consolidating the sewage-treatment facilities of those developments with the Towns . Ir. Gottlieb expressed his opinion that the Sewer Committee should have oversight of the Weston & Sampson contra.ct and direct them with- 0 n thebounds of e� contracts and when to proceed with certain steps . Also, all documents that pertain to the amending contracts or further agreements should come through the Sewer Committee and back to the Board of Selectmen for further discussion and a.ctio'n. The Chairwoman an said that Town Counsel is reviewing the application to DEQE, 'as t form. After such review and approval , application can be made t DEQE* 4e Pea. ointment of Acting Fire Chief William Chase. For purposes of reaffirming the reappointment of Acting Fire Chief Chase in open session, Ir. Carter moved that the Board of Selectmeno a.pp int William Chase as Acting Fire Chief for an indefinite term or until a, permanent ent Fire Chief is appointed.
