Meeting <br /> Monday, August 17, 1987 <br /> ongoing and/or future water quality studies on the I ashpee t i er <br /> and associated areas in Popponesset Bay, � After discussion, Nor. <br /> Gottlieb moved that the Board Qf Selectmen essentially endorse the <br /> Agreement between S andcastle-Ma,s- pe , Inc* and the Town of Mashpee <br /> Planning Board and acknowledge receipt of the donation of Twenty- <br /> four Thousand Dollars . Mr. Carter seconded the motion. The vote <br /> was unanimous . <br /> OLD BUSINESS : <br /> 1. offer to sell real propertv - Tract A-184 Otis AFB, <br /> The Chairwoman noted that this matter has been voted on by the <br /> Board of Selectmen prviously. The selling price for this parcel <br /> o hard *1 <br /> S $39t400@00'� . Documents to effect th*s transaction were <br /> executed by those members of the Board of Selectmen present at this <br /> meeting. <br /> 2. Cape, Cod Municipal Health Insurance. Memorandum from <br /> Joyce Mason, Administrative Assistant, dated August 13 , 1987 was <br /> submitted in which it is noted that Town Counsel has reviewed <br /> the agreement proposed by Cape Cod Municipal Health. Group, lir. <br /> i Reardon's resonse to that agreement is contained in his letter of <br /> August , 19 which was attached for the Board's review. Mrs . <br /> Farrenand Mr. Tins ley, app ;Cod Municipal Health Insurance repre- <br /> sentative , <br /> epre--sentative , will be attending the Selectmen's meeting of August 31, <br /> 1987o. <br /> 3 . Sewer Committee - Selectmen Gottlieb, Mr. Gottlieb <br /> said. that a. third member to the Committee. will be appointed at the <br /> next regular meeting of the Board. Mr. Gottlieb discussed the <br /> duties and responsibilities of the Committee as �t relates to the <br /> contract with Weston and Sampson and with individual developers , <br /> He briefly discussed developments and proposed developments parti- <br /> cularly in the east end of Town and the possibility of consolidating <br /> the sewage-treatment facilities of those developments with the Towns . <br /> Ir. Gottlieb expressed his opinion that the Sewer Committee should <br /> have oversight of the Weston & Sampson contra.ct and direct them with- <br /> 0 n thebounds of e� contracts and when to proceed with certain steps . <br /> Also, all documents that pertain to the amending contracts or further <br /> agreements should come through the Sewer Committee and back to the <br /> Board of Selectmen for further discussion and a.ctio'n. The Chairwoman <br /> an <br /> said that Town Counsel is reviewing the application to DEQE, 'as t <br /> form. After such review and approval , application can be made t <br /> DEQE* <br /> 4e Pea. ointment of Acting Fire Chief William Chase. For <br /> purposes of reaffirming the reappointment of Acting Fire Chief Chase <br /> in open session, Ir. Carter moved that the Board of Selectmeno <br /> a.pp int <br /> William Chase as Acting Fire Chief for an indefinite term or until <br /> a, permanent ent Fire Chief is appointed.
