t40 <br /> R <br /> i <br /> Board of Selectmen's Mtg. <br /> Minutes of August 31 , 1987 <br /> Communication from -Town Counsel re: Blakeman Article <br /> The Executive Secretary explained to the Board that herr, Blakeman <br /> submitted an article as owner of the property. He said that there i <br /> a question whether this could go on the warrant as he is not the <br /> owner of all the land in question . Town Counsel has ruled that lir. <br /> Blakeman may petition for a zoning change providing he is the owner <br /> of record of at least part of the land to be effected by said change. <br /> The Executive Secretary said that he questionned Counsel as to <br /> whether that meant he could ask for. a. change in the entire zoning of <br /> the ton ii he owned one lot , Counsel replied "Yes" . The Executive <br /> Secretary suggested that under the circumstances the Board may wish <br /> to include it on the warrant for the next special town meeting. The . <br /> Board was in agreement to submit the article on the warrant for the <br /> next special town meeting. <br /> Communication From A.E. ,FerraQamo re : Middle chool roof Leak <br /> The Executive ecretar told the Board that Mr . Ferragamo, an <br /> architect in the community, expresses concern about the discussion of <br /> replacing the roof at the Middle School . He points out that a <br /> properly designed and installed roof should not develop leaks over <br /> the nine-year period that this building has been in use . Joe Murphy <br /> said that his understanding after discussion i th the superintendent <br /> is that he and Mr. Ferragamo will be meeting to discuss this. No <br /> action required by the Boardt <br /> MEMO O FROM EXECUTIVE SECRETARY RE: STM <br /> The Executive Secretary advised the Board that there had been a <br /> request last week from her. Jones of the dater Commission and <br /> of S.E.A. Engineering & Consultantsthat a special town meeting be <br /> held as soon as possible t o deal with issues of the r i a rood and <br /> ummerwood tater systems. The Executive Secretary asked the Board if <br /> they wished to establish a special town meeting at this time or if <br /> they wished to defer this until some of the other questions relating <br /> o tater supply have been resolved by Town Counsel . <br /> After some discussion , the Board agreed to set the date for the <br /> special town meeting for november 2 with a deadline date for articles <br /> of September 14. The Executive Secretary asked if the Board wanted <br /> to establish a separate deadline date for zoning articles. The Board <br /> agreed that most of the zoning articles were i n ; therefore , no <br /> separate deadline date for zoning articles would be needed, The <br /> Executive Secretary pointed out that the Board agreed to put the day <br /> care matter of Terry, Dunning and Terry on the nett special town <br /> meeting which has been forwarded to town counsel for review.
