�Y <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> ' TUESDAY3 OCTOBER 13, 1987 Regular Session , <br /> PRESENT : Selectmen Thomas, Carter , Gottlieb, Lawrence and Executive <br /> Secretary, Joseph F. Murphy <br /> ABSENT: Selectman Hanson <br /> GUESTS: Ernie Virgilio , Chris Harder , Deputy Cooper, Tony F.i o r en i n i , <br /> Vernon Thomas , Marty Joyce, Gerry U ina, Elizabeth Beeler <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 7 : 00 - Jane Coogan, Chairman of the Ma shpe e Arts Council was in to <br /> speak to the Board regarding otoberfest as well as exhibit <br /> the painting which will be the prize of a holiday raffle <br /> drawn on December 16 on Charnel 58. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1 The Board was asked to execute the order of taking for Deerfield <br /> Road which was a throi ed by the July 27 , 1987 special town <br /> meeting. <br /> Mr . Murphy explained that once this was signed it would be filed <br /> with the Registry of Deeds . <br /> Selectman Carter moved to execute the order of taking of Deerfield <br /> Road. Selectman Gottlieb seconded the motion. All present were <br /> in favor . <br /> 2 Selectmen reviewed a draft letter to Governor Dukakis relative t <br /> control of the Registry of Deeds . <br /> Selectmen had previously asked Mr . Murphy to redraft this letter <br /> which was submitted by the County Charter Commission. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb moved to send the Letter as presented . Selectman <br /> Carter seconded the motion. All present were in favor . <br /> 3) Selectmen reviewed a policy statement from the Tax Collector relative <br /> to including a letter to residents regarding plowing of roadways . <br /> It was decided that the letter would be hard delivered to each <br /> resident along those roadways appearing on the list submitted <br /> y Mr . Virgilio. <br /> Board approved the letter and agreed to sign it . <br /> Selectman Thomas submitted assigntens of articles for the November <br /> 2 special town meeting for the Board ' s review. <br /> Selectman Lawrence stated article 24 should be moved by the petitioner . <br /> Selectman Go tl,ieb stated article 22 should be moved by the Planner <br /> and he would move article 21 . <br />
