N f ;M t BOARD of SELECTMEN MINUTES MONDAY, NOVEMBER- 16, 1987 - Regular Session PAGE 3. OLD BUSINESS (continued) Selectmen were asked to consider a step - increase for Patrolman valeriani. This matter was deferred from last week at the request of Selectman Lawrence. Selectman Lawrence felt- there was' a definite reed for -an evaluation process as he has diff ioulty approving a step increase with Patrolman valeriani' record. Selectman Lawrence-moved to deny Patrolman valeriai f s -step increase. Selectman Hanson seconded the 'notion, with Selectman . o.ttlieb also being in favor. Selectmen Carter and Thomas were opposed. Selectman,Gottlieb asked that the Police,Department be directed to develop an evaluation process, Selectman Carter moved to reconsider this next week. Selectman Hanson- seconded the motion. vote was four in favor one opposed. APPOINTMENTS HEARINGS 8: 15 - Mr. Fudala, was in regarding planning for future public facilities in South Mashpee. Selectman Carter stated he would like to see a plan for the whole town . in book form with a table of contents breaking down all departments,, Selectman Carter will meet with Tom- fora scoping session. Mr. Fudla asked the Selectmen to execute a grant application for a study of the Quahnet water Shed. This was a joint venture with the Town of ..Falmouth, Selectman Carter moved to authori e, the Chairman of the Board -to execute the grant application. Selectman Gottlieb seconded the motion. All were in favor. 8:30 - Selectmen met with the Police Chief,. Deputy Chief Cooper and several firefighters to discuss- the response of the Town in connection with a medical emergency on-November +, 1987. Deputy Cooper requested this meeting be in executive session. Firefighter Stone requested this matter be held in open session. Selectman Thomas stepped down and resumed her responsibility as Acting Fire Chief. Deputy Cooper stated that this cannot be discussed any further as it was requested to be in open session.
