.y <br /> M <br /> F <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN' <br /> MINUTE <br /> MONDAY, NOVEMBER 1 , 1987 - Regular Session <br /> PACE 4. <br /> APPOINTMENTS HEARINGS (continued) <br /> Acting Fire Chief Thomas ,stated -she felt it was an issue that could be <br /> resolved without bringing it, to the -Selectmen. <br /> Selectmen ,deferred this for one week to allow both departments time to <br /> discuss it further. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Selectmen were asked to execute. -an- ddeda to the option agreement between <br /> the Town and Mr. Earle - arsters -to acquire 21.3 acres of land on the West <br /> side of the Mashpee River. <br /> Mr.. Murphy xplfined that -in the Town's optilon,oif December 24, 1986 it <br /> states the'a.greement must be exercised on- or before November 16, 1987, and <br /> also the Town must .receive approval of any State of Federal funds on or <br /> before November 17, 1987. <br /> Mr. Marsters is willing to extend. the deadlines to December 30 for the grant <br /> onu fitments and January 15, 1988 to exercise the option. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb moved to execute the addenda to the option agreement <br /> between the Town and Mr. Earle Marsters. selectman Carter 'seconded the <br /> motion. All were in favor. <br /> + Selectman Gottlieb requested permission to write a Letter to the Conference <br /> Committee regarding the Open Space Bill which came out of the senate last <br /> week, and-is due to go before the Committee. <br /> Board agreed a letter should be written. <br /> Selectman Carter advised the Board that the Conservation Commission wanted <br /> wood posts on the f ence for the,.dredging prof ec t, -w .' would be a sub sta.ntia1 <br /> increase in cost. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb will discuss this with the Conservation Commission and come <br /> back to the Board next week. <br /> Selectmen were requested to execute a contract with D.J. Donahue to bury. <br /> temporary' lines at Summerwood Condominiums. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb moved to sign the contract with D.J. Donahue to bury <br /> temporary lines at Summerwood Condominiums.
