BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, FEBRUARY 279 1989 <br /> 'AGE THREE <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 51 The Board discussed a communication from Commonwealth <br /> Electric relative to the streetlight conversion program. <br /> All agreed to remain with the original decision to convert <br /> to sodium and to complete a survey of the number o <br /> new/replacement lights necessary in the Town. <br /> The Board further discussed the evaluation system designed <br /> by Selectman carter. <br /> Ir. Gottlieb stated that he did not agree with the role of <br /> the Executive Secretary in the preparation of the evaluation <br /> fora. her. Gottlieb suggested that this read - the <br /> department head prepares the goal /evaluation form and before <br /> it is signed off on, lot is reviewed by the Executive <br /> Secretary, <br /> The Board agreed to discuss the ratter again in two weeks. <br /> 7, The Board discussed a memo from the Town Clerk relative to <br /> articles for the Annual Town Meeting. <br /> An article concerning an increase of fees will be included <br /> on the warrant. <br /> At the request of the Town Clerk, the article concerningI <br /> street signs will not be inicuded on the warrant. <br /> An article requesting furniture for the Registrars Office <br /> raise arra appropriate or transfer $639. 75) will be included <br /> on the warrant. <br /> OTHER <br /> 10 Mr, Gottlieb moved to accept the b lo d of Congdon Equipment <br /> compnay of Johnston, R1 for the rental of a front-end loader <br /> through June 30, 1989 in the amount of $18,200. her. Hanson <br /> seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br /> Ir. carter roved to seek a transfer from the reserve fund to <br /> purchase the loader from the C. N. wood Company in the <br /> amount of $87, 105. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion. Mr. <br /> Lawrence was in favor. Mr. Gottlieb was opposed. <br />
