i. Board of Selectmen Minutes Special Meeting Thursday, Larch 30, 1989 Present -- Selectmen Lawrence, Jacobson and Manson. Executive Secretary Murphy Guests - Mone The meeting convened at 7 p .m. for the purpose of finalizing the warrant for the annual town meeting in anticipation of the warrant being signed in its final form' by the Board on April 3 . The Executive Secretary reviewed the warrant with the Board and' noted areas of his concern. They were ; * article for mapping . Executive Secretary suggested the Board may grant to consider deferringaction because of the aide variance in bids and a concern over the scope of the project . Mr. Manson and Mrs . Jacobson felt the article should remain on the warrant and Mr. Lawrence said it should be removed . * article of planner and public words director on the South Sandwich Road/Main Street parcel . Mr. Murphy recommended the Board proceed with this even though appraisals had not been completed because they were anticipated before town meeting and the planner had been in contact with the owner of the parcel . Additionally. prior discussions with the owner indicated this year was the Town ' s last opportunity for the corner lot . Concensus of the Board was to leave this on the warrant . * Ashum et Fond land article. Mr . Murphy explained that both opinions of value had been received and had been reviewed by the town planner and he with the owner but that the owner said he would not sell the land at that value . Mr. Murphy noted that the appraisers had been asked to review their opinions of value using a different appraisal technique . It was the concenss of the Board that the article should be removed from the warrant and included on the next warrant when agreement had been made with the owner . i * Moody Pond land article, Als-Goodspeed Road land article and Meetinghouse Road land article .
