4 <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, MAY 159 1989 <br /> PRESENT: Selectmen Gottlieb, Carter, Lawrence, Hanson, Jacobson and <br /> Executive Secretary Joseph F . -Murphy <br /> GUESTS. John Rei rpt <br /> The meeting convened at 7:00 p.m. <br /> MINUTES <br /> 1r. Lawrence moved to accept the minutes of the March 30, 1989 and <br /> April 26., 1989 Special Meetings . Mr, Hanson seconded the motion. <br /> Selectman Jacobson requested that the record reflect that at the <br /> meeting of March 30 ,, 1989, Mrs . Jacobson stepped down on articles <br /> Pertainingto Con5ervat i on Commission, Mrs, Jacobson did participate <br /> when questioned as a Conservation Commissioner, She did not <br /> participate in a consensus , although she did agree to contact <br /> Conservation COMM1551on Prior to the noon deadline on March 31 , 1989, <br /> It was then decided that separate votes would be taken for each <br /> eetin . <br /> Mr. Gottlieb called for a vote of the minutes of the Special Meeting <br /> of March 30. 1989 as amended. No motion was made. <br /> Mr. Hanson moved to accept the minutes o the Special Meeting of <br /> Larch 30, 1989 as presented. Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion* Mrs. <br /> Jacobson was opposed. Mr, Gottlieb and Mr, Carter abstained Since <br /> they were not present for th i-s meeting, <br /> Mr.. ur h indicated to the Board that the minutes of the March 30 ,, <br /> 1989 meeting should not be accepted since the affirmative vote of the <br /> Board did not constitute a majority of the Board <br /> The Board agreed to defer action on the minutes of the Special <br /> Meeting held on March 3 , 1989 until ars opinion of Town Counsel is <br /> obtained. <br /> Mr. Lawrence proved to accept the minutes of the Special Meeting o <br /> April 26, 1989. Mr. Carter seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br /> i <br />
