4 i BOARD OF SELECTMEN -, MINUTES REGULAR SESSION + MONDAY2 MAY 22y 1989 PRESENT: Selectmen Cott l i eb# Carter, Lawrence, Hanson, Jacobson, Town Counsel Joseph Reardon and Executive Secretary Joseph Murphy GUESTS: Bob Tolins, Hunter Giroux, Richard Cohen, Carlos ' ste, William Hench , Stephen Creelish, George Costa, Elias McQuaid, Chief Frye, Ernie Virgilio, Chief Ridgeway Chester Koblinsky The meeting convened at # o p.m. MINUTES Mrs, Jacobson roved to accept the Regular and Executive Session of May los 1989 with the following amendment : New Business, Item #5 should read; The Board directed Mr. Murphy to ask the Town Clerk to certify the issue was raised at this meeting. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Mr. Gottlieb was in favor. Mr. Lawrence and Mr. Carter were not present for the vote. ` Mr. Gottlieb stated that an opinion had been received from Mr. Reardon relative to the minutes of the Special Meeting of March 30, 1989, A vote of three members of the Board with two members abstaining) would constitute a legal vote and that if there Is dissenting opinion from one member, that opinion may be attached a ars appendix to the minutes. Mr, Lawrence moved to accept the minutes of the Special Meeting of March 30, 1989. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion, Mrs. Jacobson was opposed. Mr. Gottlieb and Mr, Carter abstained. The following was submitted by Mrs, Jacobson as an appendix: The minutes of the March 30, 1989 Board of Selectmen meeting should reflect that Mrs. Jacobson stepped down on the warrant articles pertaining to Conservation Commission A s h umet Pond, Moody Pond, l s- Goodspeed and Meeting Road Land) . Mrs, Jacobson did participate, when questioned as a Conservation Commissioner. Mrs. Jacobson did not participate in the concens . She did agreed to contact Conservation Commission prior to the noon deadline on March 31 , 1989.
