All were in favor . . 1 gUI,N,N&QU1SSET AVENUE POLITE 28 INTERSECTION Mr. Virgilio presented the new design of the Quinnaquisset Avenue/Route 28 Intersection. An intersection n was designed so that a full stop is necessary coming out of u i nnqu i sset onto Route 28 ( left/right turns) . An island will be created to narrow the path of incoming traffic onto Quinnaquisset Avenue* The intersection will also include a storm rm drainage system to prevent water from going into the River. There will be no left turn from Route 28 onto Quinnaquisset Avenue* resident asked whether there would be any traffic signals placed at the intersection. Mr. Virgilio stated that funds were not available at this time. There was also a question asked as to whether the 50 m.p.h. s i cans could be removed near the rotary i n order to slow the traffic dawn that approaches the uinnaMgisset Avenue intersection. Mr, Virgilio stated that speed limit signs could not be changed without following certain requirements by the State and that he intended to complete a radar survey of the traffic* Mr. Virgilio stated that the project would be completed by November if all approvals are received in a timely manner. Mr. Carter moved to approve the road design of innaquisset Avenue/Route 28 intersection as presented y Mr. Virgilio, her. Hanson seconded the motion. All were in favor.
