• <br /> k <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES -- REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, OCTOBER 16v 1989 <br /> PAGE THREE <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> (Cont. ) <br /> 2,2 GREAT OAK ROAD - Mr . Carter moved to insert the article <br /> relative to the relocation of Great Oak Road for the <br /> November Special Town Meeting with an explanation as to <br /> why the article is on the warrant again along with <br /> dollar amounts involved. Mrs. Jacobson seconded the <br /> motion. All were in favor. <br /> Ernie Virgilio presented realignment plans for Great <br /> Oak Road with the Board. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb stated -that he had met with Jeff Larson of <br /> DEM and he informed DE.M that the Town would swap land <br /> with New seabury, but would look to the State to handle <br /> expenses for the road relocation, as well a <br /> engineering, land recording surveying and n costs <br /> � g <br /> associated with completing the swap. <br /> When Nr. Gottlieb asked the Board whether they wanted <br /> to proceed, Mr. Lawrence and Nr. Hanson indicated that <br /> they would not go further until funds previously <br /> promised for the upkeep of the Road were received from <br /> the state. <br /> . SCHOOL COMMITTEE JOINT MEETING RE: VACANCY - Dr. <br /> ieloura and members of the School Committee atteded <br /> relative to their, recommendation to appoint Thomas <br /> Booth to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of <br /> Robert Sullivan, The school Committee's recommendation <br /> is based on a review of letters of interest received by <br /> the Committee as well as past performance/participation <br /> at meetings. <br /> There was a joint vote between the Beard of Selectmen <br /> and the School Committee. Voting School Committee <br /> members present were Maureen McKay, Janice M 1 1 1 t James <br /> onneryw Elizabeth Petti . <br />
