• ,r ti y BOARD OF SELECTMEN MINUTES REGULAR SESSION MONDAY, DECEMBER 189 1389 PRESENT: Selectmen Gottliebg Carters Lawrence, Hanson, Jacobson, Interim Executive Secretary Jeffrey Nutting, Administrative Assistant Joyce Mason, Town Counsel Joseph Reardon GUESTS: Marilyn Ferren, Robert Sullivans Pet Coffey, June Daley, Gertrude Ferriday The meeting convened at p.m. MINUTES Mr, Hanson moved to accept the Regular Session minutes of December 1 1 , 1989, Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion and Mr. Gottlieb was in favor. Mrs . Jacobson abstained since she was not present for the meeting. Mr. carter was not present for the vote. APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS I . Personnel Issues - Cobert Sullivan and Marilyn Ferren attended to discuss a number- of personnel issues with the Board. There was discussion concernin benefits for part-time employees (those employees who work less than 20 hours per week) . The benefits provided would be sick, vacation and holiday time as well as edcuat i on benefits. Mr, Gott l i eb stated that this s ould include permanent, regularly scheduled part--ti e employees. The Board agreed that the Personnel Board should attend the next scheduled Selectmen's meeting and present their recommendations, The next item discussed was the recommendation of the Personnel Board for a 4% cost of living in rease for employees covered under the PAP. Mr. Nutting stated that this increase, along with a 4% step increase s ouk not be continued. Mr. Sullivan agreedg Stating that the evaluation process needs to be reviewed. All Board members agreed that there should not be an B annual increase and- that the automatic 4% step increase process needs to be revamped, The Board agreed to hold the recommendation until the - 1 Budget is addressed.
