Mr. Harrington will submit a <br />series of recommendations for a level funded budget. He remains <br />with the recommendation of $5,400 for the School Committee's operation- <br />al level funded budget and will make recommendations at the next <br />scheduled meeting. Nor. Harrington also states whatever funding is <br />available will have to come from personnel. <br />Communication Between the Boards; <br />Selectman Manson has suggested for the Boards to rake an effort <br />to develop better communication and address each other directly <br />rather than indirectly. <br />Tho Boards will also try to attend Committee Meetings and inform <br />members of viewpoints prior to the newspaper reports. <br />Future School Educational PlansZ Capital Needs: <br />'inn Conery reported the School Committee will be meeting with <br />Falmouth to discuss a longterm tuition agreement. <br />The School Commit -tee and Board of Selectmen have agreed to meet <br />within the next few months to resolve and address the issues Concerned, <br />. oo p.m. Hiahwood Water District <br />There were questions asked to Selectman Carter about the purchase <br />of Highwood Watert If the Ma.shpee Water District included the whole <br />town, would the people be taxed? <br />At that point, Highwoo d Water would no longer exist. They <br />currently Charge the highest base rate for water so the water rates <br />would be less. <br />Town Counsel has Conversed with representation and made note that <br />a final agreement has to' be reached for the purchase. The Town would <br />then vote to expand the district to include the whole town* <br />Chairman Carter has asked for Highwood Water to be present at <br />the next scheduled meeting of January 2 th for discussion. <br />9:05 p.m. Acceptance of Furniture Bich for the Police_ Station. <br />The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to a. prove the furniture <br />lids from Johnson and Peterson of Yarmouth for $2,,7 8.1 and W.B. Mason <br />of Brockton for $9,986.02 to furnish the Police Station, <br />Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion.. The vote was unanimous <br />with the Board. The vote is -. <br />Approval of Step Increase for Partolman W. Paul Brant <br />The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the step <br />increase for Patrolman . Paul Bryant. <br />Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion. The vote is unanimous <br />with the Board. The vote is 5-06 <br />
