5- L <br /> r � <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, MARCH 189 1991 <br /> Present: Selectman Carter, Selectman Gottlieb, Selectman Jacobson, <br /> Selectman Lawrence <br /> Executive Secretary Kevin J. Harrington <br /> `own Counsel Joseph J. Reardon <br /> Absent: Selectman Hanson <br /> Guests: Robert Sullivan, Doug Boyd, Steve Greelisho David Bailey, <br /> George Costa, Chief Frye, Paul Somerville, Paul Ott, <br /> Jim Vaccaro, Ernest Virgilio, John Ferrldayo Ben Lofchie, <br /> Diane Romrelreyer <br /> The Meeting was Called to Order by vice-Chairman Jacobson at 7: 00 p.m. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the minutes <br /> of March 4, 1991 Regular and Executive Sessions, The motion was <br /> seconded by Selectman Lawrence. The vote of the Board is unanimous <br /> to approve the past minutes, <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS : <br /> 7: 00 -P.m. Parade: <br /> The participants of the Peoples Victory Parade will assemble at <br /> 10: 00 a.m. at the Mashpee Middle School as reported by Robert Sullivan. <br /> The 1. 6 mile parade will begin at 11* 00 a.m. on March 3o, 1991. <br /> Participants include the Mashpee School bands, Mashpee Fire and <br /> Rescue, Rod and Gun Club Members, VFW from Hyannis, Falmouth and <br /> Mashpee, Otis 102nd, the Potter House and local brownie troops, A <br /> limousine is available and three buses have been donated to transport <br /> the ' derly' and children* <br /> `here should be no problem with traffic reported Chief Frye, <br /> Five Police Officers will be stationed along the parade route and officers <br /> will patrol the finish area. <br /> The parade route was reduced from 3 wiles to 1. 6 miles for safety <br /> factors. The participants will parade onf the road on route 28, <br /> Mashpee Neck Rd. and the rotary in case of emergency access. Chief <br /> Frye has also recommended to close Job Fishing Road and Steeple Street <br /> to all vehicles from 10: 00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. <br /> There will be a. reviewing stand and podium in front of the theater <br /> in Mashpee Commons. Otis may possibly fly over at that point. <br /> Kevin Harrington asked Chief Frye if the State Police are involved <br /> in the coordination of the parade with route 28 involved? Chief Free <br /> reported there is no problem with that concern. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to grant the parade <br /> permit for March 30, 1991 at 10: 00 a..m@ The motion was seconded by <br /> Selectman Lawrence, The vote is unanimous with the Board. <br /> 7:10 p.m. Mashpee Wakeby .Pond Gate <br /> Kevin Harrington has recommended the revision of the existing <br /> regulations of the state ramp at lshpe / aeby Pond for fishing <br /> tournaments and public use, He has recently met with the Public Access <br /> Board to discuss this concern. <br />
