r <br /> 1 <br /> r <br /> r y <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br /> MINUTES <br /> 11DA `, APRIL 1, 1991 <br /> Council on A in s <br /> The motion was rade by Selectman Gottlieb to support the � <br /> recommendation of the Finance Committee and Executive Secretary <br /> with the budget and continue to look for additional money at Town � <br /> Meeta*-ng to reduce the impact. <br /> The motion was seconded by Selectman Jac5obson• Selectman {garter, <br /> Selectman Manson and Selectman Lawrence are opposed to the motion. <br /> The vote is 2-3. <br /> Selectman Hanson is in opposition and feels both positions <br /> ho ld be on a full time basis. There may be other avenues to salvage <br /> f . s. <br /> The deadline for the printing of the warrant is April 10, 1991. <br /> Selectman Lawrence 'made note that the Beard hasp n <br /> rv. ever made recommendations <br /> prior to the warrant approval <br /> Budget--Discussion; Board of Health <br /> 700 PamJim Vaccaro will recommend to the Finance Committee not <br /> to lay off the assistant health agent. This will save the Town $9, 000 <br /> n unemployment. The Board of Health employee' s have volunteered to <br /> recieve $1. 00 less per year. This would bring $10, 000 to give the <br /> assistant health agent 30 hrs. per week. <br /> Without an assistant health agent, revenue will be lost states <br /> George Costa. The Board of Health is trying to r aintaln a level service <br /> with the environmental issues. <br /> The Board of Health is currently reducing costs doing their own <br /> sampling with the county testing under* their supervis-ion. Wesson and <br /> Sampson is hired on an holy basis by contract to reduce costs. <br /> Selectman Jacobson main made note she does not like to see <br /> regulatory services cut in the departments* Kevin Harrington is comfort- <br /> able with the recommendation and feels it is a resoulution. <br /> I oidre Gre lish commented that the $9,897 will not fund the <br /> assistant health agent for 30 hours. The part time clerk will probably, <br /> be eliminated. fir. Costa is trying to find an additIona.l $62r. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Carter to support the recommendation <br /> of the Executive Secretary with accepting the position of the Finance <br /> Committee. <br /> The motion was seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. The vote of the <br /> Board is unanimous, <br /> Execution of Annual Election Ballot: <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to execute the ballot <br /> as presented. The motion was seconded by Selectman Hanson. The vote <br /> of the Board is unanimous, <br />
