r- <br /> c <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 7 <br /> MINUTES <br /> IAONDAYy APRIL 19 1991 <br /> Annual Town Ieeting warrant Discussions: <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to discuss the money articles. <br /> Selectman Lawrence has asked to review Article 22 first. <br /> Article 22: There was some confslon as to the number of approved <br /> signatures to be submitted by petition. Mr. Harrington reports to <br /> take nine roads is properly submitted so the arti Le will be submitted <br /> by petition rather than the Board of Selectmen. <br /> There is an expectation the cost will be lower than antl.cipated <br /> at $4700a Selectman Gottlieb made note if the cost goes above the <br /> bettere .t, the Town will pay the extra. <br /> The Finance Committee has summarized their money article recommendat. <br /> tions. It was agreed upon by the Board to have one column for the <br /> article recommendations of the Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee. <br /> The Fir. a ice Committee has recommended the % cost of living <br /> increase for PAP employees in Article 4. <br /> Article 6: Since there has been no decision or pledge and the <br /> upfront money s not known, there has leen no action to date of the <br /> taking of Popponesset Island Bridge by eminent domain. <br /> Selectman Carter has recommended that Mr. Joel Zeigler be contact- <br /> ed on this issue. Jim Vaccaro has recommended the Town not be involved <br /> in the taking. <br /> Article 7: The money is for the septage treatment facility. <br /> Article 8e Money for engineering services associated with the <br /> groundwater contamination. Article 7 and Article 8 are anticipated <br /> to cost $22x, 000. Article 9 is in included with the: planning, design <br /> and construction of a facility to treat septa.ge <br /> Article 12 It was noted Cape Cod Tech has a reduced tuition, <br /> The Senior Center is on the Special Town Meeting Warrant. <br /> Article 14a $50, 000 is to fund the triennial evaluation. <br /> Article Selectman Gottliebhas recommended the Board vote <br /> pending on Jane Stockbridge' s Personnel. Review which should be avail- <br /> able in late April for discussion of the job grade of assistant <br /> assessor from step 8 to step 11, <br /> Ir. Lofchie has suggested this remain on the warrant and have <br /> the people discuss this on Town Meeting floor. Selectman Hanson agrees <br /> with Mr. L f hie. <br /> The motion n was made by Selectman Gottlieb to leave Article 15 <br /> on the warrant for discussion. It is the consensus of the Board to <br /> approve the motion. <br /> Article 16* To create a position of Data Collector in the <br /> Assessors Department, <br /> Article 17: A 4 raise for the Town Clerk* <br />
