k <br /> t <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br /> MINUTES <br /> UESDA , APRIL 169 1991 <br /> Approval of Step Increase for D i t Peters: <br /> Approval of-Step Increase for Patrolman Santangelo: <br /> rova.l of Step Increase for Firefighter Cra <br /> ig Messinger: <br /> i <br /> Selectman Hanson has recommended the Executive Secretary to make <br /> the decision of the approval - of the step increases, <br /> Mr. Harrington is in favor, but the three above increases involve <br /> contract language for three departments which require the Board of <br /> Selectmen to approve. <br /> Selectman Carter has suggested to look towards atemending the language <br /> of the contract and de si gnat ing an agent to approve the increases, <br /> 'own Counsel advises that in Mr. a.rrington' s job description it <br /> ,enc lu de s his response to the step inc re a. e s, <br /> Selectman Lawrence agrees on this issue) for Mr. Harrington deals <br /> with this on a day to day basis. Selectman Hanson also agrees and <br /> suggests Mr. Harrington send a letter to the unions to see if there is <br /> a. problem involved with this designation. <br /> The motion was rade by Selectman Hanson to approve the step <br />' increases for Dwight Peters$ Patrolman Santangelo and Craig Messinger. <br /> $e ectman Lawrence seconded the motion. The vote of the Board i <br /> unanimous. The vote is 3-0., <br /> Selectman Lawrence made mote of the terrific job Mr. Santangelo <br /> has done and the many calls he has recieved on his behalf. <br /> Approval of Warrants: <br /> It was briefly discussed by the Board and Mr. Harrington of the <br /> delegation of authority concerning the approval of the warrant articles. <br /> It was advised by Town Counsel the Board of Selectmen are required <br /> to vote to approve the delegation of the warrant articles. He will <br /> review the possibility of an original voucher* stamp to be used to obtain <br /> the signatures of the Board. <br /> 76.45 p.m. Ga.Ey Sylvester res. Permit to move a Buil j : <br /> The tentative date to move the building is MaY 7, 1991 as reported <br /> y fir. Sylvester of Falmouth, One house will be broken into four <br /> sections and be moved together from the Town of Sandwich to Falmouth. <br /> The highest portion is 21-1 and the widest is 241 . It is difficult <br /> to estimate the time traveling through Mashpee explains Mr. Sylvester, <br /> He will alert the local radio stations and newspapers when there is a <br /> concrete date to move the building. <br /> The Police will escort the move and it is uncertain if there will <br /> e a'-detour or if the move will involve one lane. <br /> Mr. Sylvester will advise Mr. Harrington of the date when it is <br /> no wn. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Hanson to grant permission for <br /> Gary Sylvester to move the structure from Sandwich through the Town <br /> of Mashpe e to Falmouth, <br /> The motion was seconded by Selectman Lawrence. The vote of the <br /> Board is unanimous 3-0. <br />
