Z <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page S <br /> MINUTES <br /> • MONDAY JUNE 24, 1991 -- <br /> FY 92 Reappointments: <br /> Street Light Committees Kevin Harrington has recommended the <br /> Chief of Police and Fire Chief fill the two vacancies along with <br /> the reappointment of Robert Jutstrom. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the request <br /> of the Executive Secretary. The motion was seconded by Selectman <br /> Hanson. The vote is unanimous. The vote is 5-0. <br /> Town Counsel: Kevin Harrington has recommended a one year <br /> appointment. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the request <br /> of the Executive Secretary. The motion was seconded by Selectman <br /> Caffyn. The vote is favorable. The vote is 4-1 with Selectman Lawrence <br /> in opposition. <br /> Assistant Town Counsel: The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb <br /> to authorize Kevin Harrington to render an opinion from Counsel. <br /> The motion was seconded by Selectman Hanson. The vote is unanimous. <br /> The vote is 5-0. <br /> Tree Wardens Mr. Harrington has recommended to hold this item <br /> for further information. It is the consensus of the Board to hold <br /> on this appointment. ' <br /> Water District Constables George Costa has been appointed states <br /> Selectman Hanson. He asks why Varden Kelley is listed? It is the <br /> consensus of the Board to obtain further information on this issue. <br /> South Cape Beach: It is the consensus of the Board to advertise <br /> for this appointment. <br /> MRURI Bids: <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the DPW <br /> bids as recieved. The motion was seconded by Selectman Hanson. The <br /> vote is unanimous. The vote is 5-0. <br /> Selectman Caffyn inquired as to why there is only one bid recieved <br /> for regular gas and diesel fuel? It is a competitive bid states Mr. <br /> Harrington. Only one vendor responded. Our option is to run our own <br /> fuel in the future. <br /> Some of the bid requirements involve the station to be open 24 hours <br /> states Selectman Hanson. If there is a snowstorm, the station is to <br /> provide fuel for the Town trucks. From the diesel aspect, there is not <br /> alot to chbese from. <br /> Liaison Assignments: <br /> It was noted by Chairman Jacobson this is noted for informational <br /> purposes of the Board of Selectmen Liaison Assignment for FY 92. <br /> Step Wage Increase for Patrolman Hamilton: <br /> The Board has given the authority to Mr. Harrington to handle <br /> the step increases. <br /> Board of Selectmen Salmi: <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Hanson for the Board of Select- <br /> men to recieve their salaries in full in the month of July. The motion <br /> was seconded by Selectman Lawrence. The vote is favorable 3-2 with <br />
