'BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 7 MINUTES MONDAY JUNE 24, 1991 • FY 92 Reappointments: Harbormaster - Admin. Clerk: It was noted by Kevin Harrington this position is not in the budget for funding. Leisure Services Director: Mr. Harrington has recommended a twelve month appointment of this position. The motion wasrimade by Selectman Hanson to approve the recommend- ation of the Executive Secretary. The motion was seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. The vote of the Board is unanimous. The vote is 5-0. Personnel Board: It is the consensus of the Board to advertise for this position. i Town Planner: Mr. Harrington has recommended not to reappoint for twelve months. He has recommended to appoint for 120 days. Selectman Hanson made the motion to approve the recommendation of the Executive Secretary. The motion was seconded by Selectman Lawrence. Selectman Gottlieb and Selectman Jacobson are opposed. He has competence and good job performance. Selectman Caffyn has recommended Mr. Fudala appear before the Board for discussion with the understanding that he still has a job. Selectman Hanson and Selectman Lawrence have withdrawn their motion. • Police Chief: Kevin Harrington has recommended a twelve month appointment. The motion was made by Selectman Hanson to approve the request of the Executive Secretary. The motion was seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. The vote is unanimous. The vote is 5-0. Police Departmett Administrative Clerk: It is the consensus of the Board to advertise for this position. Police Station Building Committee: Mr. Harrington has recommended to reappoint the committee members since there is an issue of a balance. He recommends to terminate the committee when this issue is resolved. The Board is in agreement with the Executive Secretary. Regional Planning Commission: It is the consensus of the Board to hold this for further understanding of the commission. Senior Center Building Committee: It is the consensus of the Board to advertise for the vacancy in this committee. School Building Committee: It is the consensus to advertise for the vacancy in this committee. Shellfish Constable: Mr. Harrington has recommended to appoint for twelve months. The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to appoint this position for three years as the bylaw states. The motion was seconded by Select- man Caffyn. The vote is 4- 1 with Selectman Lawrence in opposition.
