Chairman Jacobson asked that the minutes be ammended to reflect on page 5 under Barnstable County Advisory Baa.rd and County Expenditures, the appointment was held by the Board.' ',' The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the minutes of June 24, 1991 as 'ammende d. The motion was seconded by Selectman Jacobs on. The vote of the Board is unanimous, The vote is 3-0. PUBLIC SCUSSI : Judy Mills made note of the ree-ent change made by the District concerning health card.. There is substantial savings offered by the Pilgrim Health Care than previously of'f'ered by the Barnstable County Plan,, 705 p.m. Selectman Hanson and Selectman Lawrence have arrived for the meeting. The cost to the District for the family plan is $80/month and the individual plan i $100/montth, The Town would most likely have different rate with more employees, The benefits are considerably more comprehensive states Ms. Mills. There is also a prescription rider. This may be a bargaining tool with the Unions to increase benef its wither n rea ing costs. Based on 200 employees, the savings would amount to approximately $100,000, Selectman Jacobson Feels this is an excellent option the Town should certainly lock into, Mr. Harrington reports there is a. presentation from the ,Pilgrim Health Care to the Town scheduled for the end of July. The Town is currently under the Cape Cod Municipal Health Group. There is some implementation to be worked out states Mr. Harrington. For more medically needed individuals anj indeminity plan should b of'f'ered and the less needy rr ' healthierindividu is w ul d be n a less costly plan.
