{ RD OF SELECTMEN Pae 2 MINUTES MONDAY JULY 19 1991 7:09 p o e OBD BUSINESS: Interim DPW Director Appointments Ir. Harrington has asked the Board to extend the interim appointment of Errol Hicks as DPW Director. The payment. differential agreed by the Board is approximately $100/week extra. Advertisement will be made this week fGr the position of Director. Mr. Harrington expects the interim basis to last 4-7 weeps. The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to appoint Errol. Hicks as interim DPW Director until a. permanent Director is appointed by the Board. The motion was seconded by Selectman Jacobson. The Grote is unanimous, The vote is 5-0. `Y 92 Reappointments: Council on -Aging: Selectman Jacobson noted there is one vacancy on the Council on, Aging. Interviewing..swill take place on July lo, 1991. The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the reappoint- ments of Robert Traylor. Victor Berube, Evelyn n Buschenfeldt, Betty Jones, Robert Osborn and John Walsh. The vacancy appointment will be made after the recommendation and interview period. The motion was seconded by Selectman Lawrence. The vote of the Board is unanimous. The vote is 5-o. Free Warden: Richard Oakley i s the qualified individual as recommended by the Executive Secretary. The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to appoint Richard Oakley as Tree Warden. The motion was seconded by Selectman Jacobson. The vote i s unanimous, The vote is 5-0. With similar functions on the watery Selectman Jacobson feels the two departments could certainly serve one another, It is the consensus of the Board to hold this appointment to see if Mrs .enway will be present for the discussion.
