BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 5 <br /> s <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY JULY 15t 1991 <br /> Re att from the Treasurer; <br /> Ids. Shaw reports the cost of borrowing is placed into our <br /> budget. The problem is municipality businesses start spending <br /> on July lst while sales are in November, -Bills are now due November <br /> lst and YlAy lst. Future legislation may change the dates to August <br /> lst and February 1st which would eliminate borrowing, <br /> There are five clerk certified notes for the Board to sign <br /> to allow the DOR to give the notes to the bank. <br /> NE11 BUSINESS <br /> South Ome- Beach State Park Adviso Commission Reappointments: <br /> ents: <br /> It was noted there is one vacancy to this commission. This <br /> will be a future agenda item once there is response of interest. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to appoint Catherine <br /> Conroy, Morris Kir'sner, Chester Koblins y, John A. Lower, William <br /> a.rtiros, Jerome Monaghan and Henry Urquhart to the south. Cape Beach <br /> State Park Advisory Committee, <br /> The motion was seconded ed by Selectman Hansom. The vote of the <br /> Board is unanimous. The vote is -o. <br /> Use of Police Firearms Ran e <br /> Selectman Gottlieb suggests the Board d fer to Town Counsel as <br /> to the liability, protection and consideration for use of the facility. <br /> The Board agrees. Selectman Danson also suggests reimbursement <br /> ent <br /> of expenses incurred with the use of materials and the opening and <br /> closing of the gates at the police Firearms Range. <br /> Tho Parish of Christ the K in e: S i <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the sign <br /> request on each end of the Route 28 entranxcee to the rotary and on <br /> Jobs Fishing Road on the Route 151 side for their auction on Sunday <br /> August 2 , 19918 <br /> The motion was seconded by Selectman Hanson. The vote of the <br /> Board is unanimous. The vote is 4-0. <br /> The motion was blade in support of the sirgns for the Church auction. <br /> Selectman Danson suggests to contact the Building Inspector for his <br /> approval of the signs. <br /> Agreement for Environmental Cl <br /> It was noted. by Selectman Jacobson the signing of the Interagency <br /> Agreeme t for environmental cleanup activities between the National' <br /> Guard Bureau and the U. S.. Environmental Protection Agency will take <br /> dace on July 17, 1991 at 9: 15 a.m. <br /> Selectman Jacobson invites the Board Members to attend, <br /> Selectman Gottlieb briefly explained the Interagency Agreement <br /> with the Board. It initially involved DEP, EPA and the Department of <br /> Defense, but due to dissatisfaction of the agreement, DEP withdrew <br /> last year. <br /> The agreement basically involves the schedule of who tests for <br /> hat and the expectations of the cleanup schedule. <br />
