r ( i .BOARD OF SELECTMEN page 5 Le MINUTES MONDAY JULY 22j 1991 Appointments to Fill Various Boards Committee Vacancies: The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to appoint Mr. Alec Watt to the School Building Committee. The motion was seconded by Selectman Caffyn. The Grote of the Board is uanimous. The Grote � is -o. With concerns towards the appointment to the Cape Cod Commission, Selectman Jacobson has asked Mr. Harrington to 'include with the interview notice a memo of the detailed amount of time involved to service this, commission,, It takes approximately 20 hours per week with the various meetings of att nda ice and preparation time involved. Mr. Harrington will split the six applicarit interviews into two meetings for time purposes to allocate fifteen minute interviews for each applicant. NMrJ BUSINESS: Fees for Flea Market: Selectman Ca.ffyn asks if anyone has been collecting Fees for the use of the flea market's The fees have not been collected to date replys Mr. Harrington, The guidelines have been drafted, but have not been instituted. The Town is awaiting approval from the Attorney General' s Office. Selectman Jacobson informs Selectman Ca.ffyn it is a lenghty process taking two to three months for approval. Fees cannot be charged until. the Office of the Attorney General has completed their review, She agrees with Selectman Caffynthat we are losing revenue, but there is nothing we can do t this point. LD BUSINESS: Shell- '.1 .�b-Yi� �i .l. oun " pd Ate: Selectman Lawrence asked for an update as to the shellfish problems with the Tribal Council and if the Town is in the litigation suit as a friend of the court as voted 5-0 on Monday June 24, 1991 in Executive Session? With, concern of the case of July 12, 1991, Mr. Harrington informed the Board the case has been continued* lir. Harrington has not filed the paperwork including the Town as a friend of the court to date. Selectman Lawrence would like a report as to why it was not done and when it will be done as soon as possible. NEW BUSINESS: Cape Cock Commission ie ia Selectman Jacobson informed the Board there is a group of Upper Cape Selectmen that will meet with concerns of Otis, She will keep the Board informed as to the scheduled meeting dates and times. dou=ent: Being no further business , to discuss, the motion was made by Seledt- man Gottliebto adjourn the meeting at p*me to go into Executive Session to discuss Potential Litigation and Conduct Regarding an Employee.
