r <br /> ( i <br /> .BOARD OF SELECTMEN page 5 <br /> Le MINUTES <br /> MONDAY JULY 22j 1991 <br /> Appointments to Fill Various Boards Committee Vacancies: <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to appoint Mr. Alec <br /> Watt to the School Building Committee. The motion was seconded <br /> by Selectman Caffyn. The Grote of the Board is uanimous. The Grote � <br /> is -o. <br /> With concerns towards the appointment to the Cape Cod Commission, <br /> Selectman Jacobson has asked Mr. Harrington to 'include with the <br /> interview notice a memo of the detailed amount of time involved to <br /> service this, commission,, It takes approximately 20 hours per week <br /> with the various meetings of att nda ice and preparation time involved. <br /> Mr. Harrington will split the six applicarit interviews into <br /> two meetings for time purposes to allocate fifteen minute interviews <br /> for each applicant. <br /> NMrJ BUSINESS: <br /> Fees for Flea Market: <br /> Selectman Ca.ffyn asks if anyone has been collecting Fees for <br /> the use of the flea market's The fees have not been collected to <br /> date replys Mr. Harrington, The guidelines have been drafted, but <br /> have not been instituted. The Town is awaiting approval from the <br /> Attorney General' s Office. <br /> Selectman Jacobson informs Selectman Ca.ffyn it is a lenghty <br /> process taking two to three months for approval. Fees cannot be <br /> charged until. the Office of the Attorney General has completed their <br /> review, She agrees with Selectman Caffynthat we are losing revenue, <br /> but there is nothing we can do t this point. <br /> LD BUSINESS: <br /> Shell- '.1 <br /> .�b-Yi� �i .l. oun " pd Ate: <br /> Selectman Lawrence asked for an update as to the shellfish <br /> problems with the Tribal Council and if the Town is in the litigation <br /> suit as a friend of the court as voted 5-0 on Monday June 24, 1991 <br /> in Executive Session? <br /> With, concern of the case of July 12, 1991, Mr. Harrington informed <br /> the Board the case has been continued* lir. Harrington has not filed <br /> the paperwork including the Town as a friend of the court to date. <br /> Selectman Lawrence would like a report as to why it was not <br /> done and when it will be done as soon as possible. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Cape Cock Commission ie ia <br /> Selectman Jacobson informed the Board there is a group of Upper <br /> Cape Selectmen that will meet with concerns of Otis, She will keep <br /> the Board informed as to the scheduled meeting dates and times. <br /> dou=ent: <br /> Being no further business , to discuss, the motion was made by Seledt- <br /> man Gottliebto adjourn the meeting at p*me to go into Executive <br /> Session to discuss Potential Litigation and Conduct Regarding an Employee. <br /> The Board will not b.e reconvening.
