BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br /> IS <br /> MONDAY JULY 22v 1991 <br /> Overlay Account Discussion: <br /> Our 'Immediate concern states Mr. Harrington is the 1990 deficit <br /> of $210t000 which is continuing to grog. It may resolve close t <br /> $400, 000, This has to be addressed prior to setting the tax rate <br /> in October, <br /> Ir. Harrington suggests not to view the 1991 provisions since <br /> the figure is too premature at this time. This can hopefully be <br /> resolved with free cash. As this deficit grows, it most importantly <br /> effects the revenue availa e for 1993. <br /> Mr. Greig is also in agreement the deficit will be over $4009000- <br /> Selectman <br /> Caffyn suggests to review the contract with Patriots <br /> to sec how it is written and if they can be held accountable for <br /> accuracy. There have been alot of abatements involving a.lot of time <br /> and labor to the Town. <br /> Nor. Bailey noted the contracttims a certifiable revaluation <br /> accepted by the Board of Assessors t a d certified y the DOR and he <br /> expects that 'is where the responsibility of the contract ends. <br /> In prior reva.l contracts states Attorney Reardon there was a. <br /> Board of Assessor' s clause if the ATB deter mined variation 'between <br /> the assessed value and the ultimate difference.ce to be more than 15% <br /> the appraising servi <br />
