C BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 5 MINUTES TES WEDNSEDAY, SEPTEMBER 119 1991 Resi a.tion of SelectmanGottlieb; There are a. symptom of problems that we as a Board have experienced for a number of years. This' is not an isolated incident. This represents the way we conduct ourselves and it is damaging ng to the community. I find it personally damaging and troubling to be involved and participating in that type of conduct to have any name and reputation associated with that type of conduct. I consider it to be detrimental to the community. The event itself has caused me to review my willingness t associate and to do things 'with this Board. Selectman Gottlieb hastried to bring -a degree of professionalism to the Board. In conclusion$ Selectman .Gottlieb stated he does not serve himself, the community or his professionalism# - Effective t the close of tni s meeting, he is re signing his seat on the Board of Selectmen. This is of something he en j ' s doing. He noted he was proud to serge the' Town and proud of some of the projects being done. It i the- most appropriate- thing to do to more `on. Selectman Gottlieb made note he has the utmost respect and admira- tion for Selectman Jacobson for her service and commitment to the Board and to the Town. He made note he would like' to serge the community again at some point in time. This is a sad moment _for l a.shpee states Selectman Jacobson. Selectman Gottlieb has served the Town well. , The Town of lashpee is losing the services of one of its finest Selectmen. Andy has always taken the high road in many of his actions, he' s dome his homework and treated each issue fairly, properly and. in an educated manner, Mashpee is losing a. fine -young man in part because of the morally reprehensible actions of two members of this Board states Selectman Gottlieb. She hopes that the residents of lashpee remember this and try to bring Andrew or other members of thi , .high caliper to this Board .in the future, Ishpee as a whole must accept the share to this manipulative possibly self serving act during his absence for religious reasons states Selectman Jacobson. The blame should be place squarely on the shoulders of those who deserve the Marne. Andrew, I personally can' t thank you enough for all that you have done for l ashpe e.
