Selectman Caffyn asks of the veteran' s Services fees that were not included on last weeks review of the warrants' The Finance Committee requested this be included states lir. Harrington. The $19000 represents unpaid bills from the previous fiscal year. Nis. Rommeimeyer noted the Harbormaster figure is to increase. There are two unpaid bills - that she is aware of. The $190. 62 for gas expenses and $187. 79 to Mike' s Service Station which brings a total of $378.41 to the Harbormaster total of unpaid bills. This is also to include the $1, 000 for veteran' s Services. The motion was made by Selectman Hanson to include Article 8. in the Warrant. The motion was seconded by Selectman Lawrence. The vote is favorable. The vote is 3- . Selectman Caffyn abstained from voting on this issue. Article 9: This article will. amend some of the bounds* e s to include the Highwood wells and to eliminate an area, in Town that was under the _ground water protection z,one. This is not a viable water source states s. Mills. Selectman Cafflyn asks if one bylaw should be set up that pertains to the whole Town for water protection? She was informed by Ms. bills that overlay zoning will restrict to some degree, The sole purpose of the restriction 'is to protect 'the ground water supplies. If the community wishes to hold these values and have this restriction, it should be done through straight zoning and then it applies to all. There is a. public hearing on these issues on September 18th she notes. Ms. Mills noted she is not sure if the proper term is protected. Some of the areas of question are zoned industrial. Certain uses can' t happen under this ground water protection such. as dry cleaning and vehicle repairs. If your -want these types of services, you have to have ground water protection which is overlay coning. To encompass the entire Town would require a. later article states AVMs. Mills, The motion was made by Selectman Hanson to include Article 9 in the Warrant. The motion was seconded by Selectman Lawrence. The vote is favorable 3-1 with Selectman Ca.ffyn in opposition.
