ti BOARD of SELECTMEN Page MINUTES MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4F 1991 Water District Commissioners re : National Guard Bureau Agreement : Town c6unsel advises the Board can vote to accept the document as presented subject to the changes being made. The changes are . s follows , to delete on page one "Town" ,, page 2 to delete "Mashpee" , page 3 to delete "Mashpee" as it appears twice, page 4 delete I'Mashpee" , page 9 delete " iashpee" ,' page 10 delete "Mashpee" as it appears twice and page 12 to delete "Town" . The I' iashpee" references and "Town" references as they appear are to be changed advised Counsel . on page 15 the spelling of part to be included in place of the word point as it appears . Page 8 has a spelling correction of the word competent an-d page 7 has a spelling correction to the word additional . The motion was made by selectman Hanson to accept the document as presented subject to the above changes described by Cotnsel . The motion- was seconded by Selectman Lawrence . The vote of the Board is unanimous . The vote is - , Attorney Henchr will redraft the agreement as requested, He will. have it ready for the Board to sign in 48 hours so the Board may execute their portion of the agreement by Thursday or Friday. 8 : 30 p.m. OLD BUSINESS Acceptance of ConservationLand : The Assessors Map as requested was included in our packet for the parcel of lana being donated by the smith Family reports select- man Jacobson. she also motes the Conservation Commission is requesting the Board accept the donation for conservation -purposes . The motion was made by Selectman Lawrence to accept the donation of land by the Smith Family. -The motion was seconded by selectman Catffyn. The vote of the Board is unanimous . Thevote is 4-0. Discussion Relative to Harbormaster Appointment: Mr. Harrington noted the 120 day period of appointment of the Harbormaster has expired on October 31 , 1991. There are ten assistant harb rm st-ers . The Board has- the option to advertise for the position. Ir. Darrington recommends to the Board that they advertise for the position since there have been a number of inherent problems - with the position. This includes funding at an inadequate level . The ' arpprpriate time is to advertise now suggests Mr. Harrington.' This being the slower season of this particular department. We could possibly consolidate with the shellfish Warden . Mooring fees are also collected at this time . The. position of Harbormaster is under discussion of- the Water Ways Committee reports Mb, Schwartz , We would like to submit some sug- gestions and ideas 'o consider for immediate action Selectman Catffyn recommends the Board wait until after the Nater Ways Committee has had their meeting and then take action. Selectman Jacobson agrees to wait one week to discuss further. . She -suggests to advertise for the position.
