Henderson was present to ask the Board to waiver the taxes <br /> on the Common Area and transfer the land to the Mashpee Conservation <br /> T YVs t . <br /> From 1987 to 1992 , . 2- years of taxes are due for a sum of oo <br /> indicates Mr, Henderson. The Common Area occupies 10 . 24 acres of land. <br /> As indicated from Anne Shaw, the 1990 assessment was $247, 500. <br /> The assessment for 1991 was $24,100 and 1992 $21,200 relates fir. Hender- <br /> son. <br /> As indicated from Town Counsel , taxes cannot be waived. An abate- <br /> ment would apply. If the Town joins in the request in conjunction with <br /> the property owner it is usually granted. The Board of Assessors have to <br /> be in agreement and may want to consult wi h the Executive Secretary and <br /> Finance Committee. If it was already approved by the Department of <br /> Revenue, the next year has to contain the adjustment, Given the financial <br /> conditions of the Town, we may not be -able to do this . <br /> If taxes hive not been paid for five years, it should be in tax <br /> title now relates Town Counsel . We are progressing since some money <br /> has come in, but a collection of undeliverable mailings has been re- <br /> turned , <br /> We have had trouble printing bills on our disc informs Selectman <br /> Vaccaro. Richard Halpern has saved us time by printing the bills at <br /> home on his computer. We are thankful for his support , <br /> Mr. Barer has suggested to assess the fees to the boats and give <br /> each boat a sticker to place on the boat . This may aid with record and <br /> enforcement . <br />
